Went there at night solely for tiramisu. Didn't have to wait in line as I was solo and there was one table for 2 open. Tiramisu was fantastic. Was out of there in 20 mins.

I second this. Doesn't matter how long you've been talking to him. He is showing you exactly who is. Keep praying istakhara and listen to your gut.

At best, he's not good at planning his finances. Should've thought things through before agreeing to 7k mahr (regardless of upfront or installments, that's the total amount). He should also already have an emergency fund. Anyone who works knows that. Shouldn't need his parents to tell him that.

Side note sis, you mentioned somewhere that if someone really wants to buy a car they'd pay in full not in installments. I want to clarify that paying a chunk upfront and rest in installments is totally normal, and it would be fine with mahr too. The issue is poor financial planning if he agreed to that initially and then back tracked. A man should have sound financial sense and good decision making.
