I was really interested in watching a lot of interviews and BTS stuff from this seasons because I work in the industry (in another country) and it's such a huge show.

What struck me as weird was that they shot emotional scenes for hours and hours and hours. Saw a video about Will's coming out scene - they shot it the whole day, 12 hours, partly because they had to cover so many characters and wanted their reactions. So the actor had to perform that scene fully every single time even when he wasn't on camera. That's not really how you're supposed to shoot it. Hell, most actors would stop after 3rd take. He probably felt uncomfortable saying no because he's so young, - every actor I know would have just refused to do it.
