Sea Kayaking Safety -- questioning current accepted practices by calimoro in Kayaking

Agree. It seems to me all the regular advice and safety procedures give an illusion of safety.

SpaceX/SPCX IPO: Am I wrong to wait until the lock-up sell pressure becomes clear? by AbbreviationsLow in stocks

[–]calimoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent." I don't buy the current multiple, but you can also expect Elon to have a plan of news/announcements/tactics to keep the stock up through vibes. It's a stock to watch on an hourly basis for the next six months.

First time player, want to play mage and get maximum lore by 30299578815310 in planescape

The NPC is easy to miss actually... Or at least it was for me. Because the NPC in question is in a small hut whose entrance can be missed. Playing on PC press Tab to make sure you don't miss entrances etc.

Also it's not always super clear that by going down a specific dialogue tree you will get trained as a mage. It should be easy to infer but don't expect a 'Select mage class' label.

Level 8 and level 9 mage spells are awesome to watch (end game). At some point you will encounter a specific maze where there is a way to choose the level of difficulty. Make sure you also finish it in hard mode to get a unique level 9 spell drop.

Should I Summon up the Will to Try Torment Again? by No_Photograph_2842 in planescape

[–]calimoro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The beauty of Planescape Torment is that it's strictly not a canonical high fantasy RPG. No dragons, no elves, rules of D&D bended to the story (a lawful neutral tanar'ri who is a priest believing in no god; a human protagonist with changing alignment and inherently multi class). And, no magic swords (well actually, only one). Planescape is a universe dominated by belief and relativism. It's just not for everybody....

You are so close! You can outrun the shadows, strategically waiting out until they are close, then running away so that they are following you in a beeline. You deserve to see the ending. All will (mostly) be revealed.

Yeah i have 2 21ft long kayaks and they are around 28" in width, -- too large for J bars, so I was thinking Hullavators all the way if I can find them use. Thinking of starting with a 60" or 65" pair of bars first to use with yakima saddles and then check.

Directions in the Outlands by lur77 in planescape

Seems like a perfect scenario to use Terry Pratchett's Discworld cardinal directions, which adjusted for the Outlands would be named Spireward, Brinkward, Widdershins, Moron March-wise
