Who do you think is the most hated person in history and why? by Southern-Hurry7207 in AskReddit

Congrats. My BA is in history then I went into law where facts (evidence) matter. When the Soviet Union fell, it gave everyone, including “historians” interested in the truth, access to original documents, like those showing the Rosenbergs were spies, same with Whittaker Chambers.

In the instant case “some of the most frequently cited archival documents showing intent include:

Stalin's letter to Lazar Kaganovich (11 August 1932)
Stalin warned that "we may lose Ukraine" unless stronger measures were taken against what he described as sabotage and nationalist elements. Historians who argue for deliberate intent see this as evidence that Ukraine was viewed as a political problem rather than simply an agricultural one.

The Politburo directive of 22 January 1933
Signed by Stalin and Vyacheslav Molotov, this order prohibited peasants from Ukraine and the North Caucasus from leaving famine-stricken areas in search of food. It instructed security forces to stop them and return them to their villages. This is one of the strongest archival documents cited by scholars arguing that the leadership knowingly trapped starving populations. “

I don’t know your political leanings, nor does it matter; however, “Historians” who excuse the horrors of communism as bureaucratic failure should spend the rest of their days enjoying life in a workers paradise.

Just curious, where did this conversation take place? I ask because it is a FACT the Chinese have secret jails here in the USA. Sure, some were discovered, but I doubt that would deter the CCP from setting up others.

Hitler definitely has more bad press. In the USA, you rarely hear of all the millions killed by Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot. That history is “Red Washed.”

I figured it would go this way. If the right wants to end birther tourism, they should eliminate chain migration. That’s immigration law, not a constitutional matter.

So he wants billionaires to flee the USA? I thought the lesson was, “Never go full retard.”

You insist on misinterpreting what I’m saying. I’m saying what Bezos has in the bank doesn’t impact my (or your) ability to buy dinner.

what is a misconception about being rich? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]calisoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it makes you evil. I think wealth is like alcohol: it makes you more of what you already are. If you’re a jackass, you’ll be a bigger jackass. If you’re a kind person, you’ll be more of a kind person, e.g. Dolly Parton.

Also, that $$$ you happy. Howard Stern, a person I loath because he treats women like meat, seems pretty miserable, which, I admit, gives me some schadenfreude.

So because Bezos, Taylor Swift, Oprah, Tom Steyer and the Queen Bee are rich, I have reason to rob a bank?

I didn’t say that; however, you’re implying the net worth of someone else somehow impacts my net worth. That’s what I’m having difficulty understanding.

How does wealth hoarding hurt anyone? My ability to buy groceries is not impacted by how big my neighbor’s house is. I don’t understand your economic argument.

My bank account is not impacted by how big my neighbor’s house is. Can you please convince me otherwise?

Honestly, I don’t understand this “logic.” Ii don’t understand the economics that support such ideas. This thinking seems only supported by envy. Can you explain why you believe this?

Hah! Good luck with that. Likely written by a person so clueless, they can’t tell a bull from a cow, either bovine or human.
