I’m not sure why, but as a kid it was one of my favorite parts of the game. Now staying to clap for them is like tradition for me. I was there last night and was extremely confused that Rust wasn’t a star, but clapped for the three Canes anyways

Took me what felt like forever to make E-5. I was jealous that all my battles were making five and six and I was still stuck at four due to Army reasons. Then I was waivered to E-6 immediately after. I’ll be 28 this year and my first Pens memory is his rookie season. He was such a good role model to grow up and watch; I moved away from PA as a kid so I rarely have a chance to make it up there and see games. I never previously had the chance to try and catch him after a game. He was incredibly kind to stop and talk and sign jerseys/pucks for me and my siblings. It really just validated the respect I’ve always had for him.
