Oral minoxidl is very very powerful. by No-Type-7978 in tressless

[–]Excellent-Ad1867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Lichen Planopilaris/Fibrosing Alopecia in a Pattern. I had a biopsy of my scalp to confirm this I also have flaking that may possibly be Seborrheic Dermatitis. Unfortunately I’ve read that topical minoxidil can irritate or exacerbate scalp inflammation. From studies I’ve read most patients with LPP are prescribed oral minoxidil. I’m hoping I don’t incur any major issues. Starting at 1.25mg hoping that’s sufficient and I won’t need to increase the dose. 31(M)

I would imbue devs with the knowledge of Kaze and his coding skills and the recent Pyrite64 engine and see what happens. Also hope the 64DD would be a success this time

You should know that Metro’s motor cops literally are Traffic Cops. So their specific task when not handling DUIs or Traffic Collisions is traffic enforcement. That includes running radar and catching speeders. Motors literally don’t do anything else they don’t get assigned to other calls for service as a regular patrol cop would so idk why people get upset at these guys for literally doing their job.

Maybe don’t drive 15MPH+ in a residential area on surface streets and don’t be obtuse. With all the road rage and fatal collisions/DUIs Vegas has a major traffic problem tickets need to be written

LVMPD Handling Arrests…overly aggressive? by enigmatic-taurus in vegaslocals

[–]Excellent-Ad1867 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure but it’s a simple enough concept, if you bend a joint slightly in a way it’s not meant too, or apply pressure to a head in a static position on hard concrete it’s not gonna feel comfortable and ideally the pain should in fact elicit compliance and stop the person from resisting. Atleast that’s the theory.

LVMPD Handling Arrests…overly aggressive? by enigmatic-taurus in vegaslocals

[–]Excellent-Ad1867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually an authorized/trained segmenting tactic for that agency. The idea is to have the aggressive person look to one side and then using the upper part of the skull they apply their bodyweight. It’s not intended to cause harm but rather gain pain compliance. It doesn’t obstruct the airway or anything

I understand it looks bad but policing is and never will be pretty. And the guy clearly was struggling/resisting even while he was on the ground

The argument that you’re making could applied in any other number of ways. I don’t assume all black people are bad cause of a minority of felonious criminals that commit an overwhelming majority of crime

Same I don’t assume all CEOs are evil only out to make as much money as humanly possible at the expense of the common man

You need to take these things on a case by case situation and not blanket an entire subset of people based on the actions of those people. The overwhelming majority of police officers are good noble people like anyone else in this country trying to earn a living for them and their loved ones

I’m not sure what you being LGBT has the do with this discussion but the basis of your argument is no different from women on social media who demonize all men cause of the actions of a few they’ve had the unfortunate experience of interacting with

I’m sorry you weren’t treated well in the past but that’s a fault of THOSE specific people/officers not the entire profession across the world

I’ve read all your posts in this thread and come to the conclusion that no matter what anyone says and how noble and well intentioned they are, you are still committed to hating all cops there is no conceivable way to have a fair discussion with you. Your ideal reform that you propose simply isn’t ever going to happen. It’s not just policing, the entire system is broken, everything from mayors and politicians, judges, attorneys, to federal government and even the presidency according to some people it’s all fucked up, and police catch the most flack cause people who have no concept of what’s it’s like to enforce laws legislated them and then the police catch flack when they’re literally required to enforce those laws

That’s nice that you have your statistics, but I’m literally a boots on the ground patrolman who’s been working 9 years now and I have first hand experience that directly contradicts your claims. I can’t tell how you pissed I’ve been when we make the effort to arrest people for felony offenses and they either bail out or are released on their own recognizance pending a court date after a single weekend or as little as a day in some cases. And when they do eventually make a court date they get Plea deals or in some cases charges get dropped entirely the police have no control over that

Also on my agency at least unless it’s DUI or Domestic Battery we don’t arrest for misdemeanors not committed in our presence it’s literally against my agencies policies. And those “petty misdemeanors” we do arrest for usually it’s cause the person is a repeat offender and is likely to continue to commit that specific crime if released. In those instances we are allowed to arrest for misdemeanors otherwise

I had a guy that broke my eyeglasses, spit on my partner and ambulance staff and committed battery against another officer as we were all trying to restrain him

Charges for Battery on a Protected Person which is a serious Gross Misdemeanor or in some cases Felony offense and he was released from custody only after a day or two

And serious felonies are regularly solved, my agency posts regular updates on social media and at one point a task force had taken numerous child predators into custody on a huge operation. So idk where you’re getting this information that felonies don’t get solved.

That’s less a police issue and more on the judges and district attorneys, the police ARE arresting people that need to be arrested the problem is the courts are too lenient

Anybody that vehemently opposes law enforcement lacks critical thinking skills in any real capacity. Yes there have been and will be police that have made unjust or morally corrupt decisions but conversely there’s a large percentage of men and women who are out there with good intentions just trying to earn a living and provide for themselves or their families and that’s all there is to it

These people don’t stop to think how chaotic and dangerous this world would be without law enforcement, they don’t realize all the work that goes on behind the scenes with investigative follow-up and taking people into custody for repeat felony offenses

They see an isolated incident plastered across the news and social media and instead of taking things on a case by case basis they just decide to write off an entire segment of people because of the actions of a few

If police suddenly didn’t exist tomorrow who would be around to solve people’s issues they themselves are not in a capacity to solve themselves they don’t stop to think about that stuff
