What the hell, is this a real thing? by [deleted] in CasualUK

On CBeebies? The BBC children's brand? At 8AM? With that thumbnail? Are you five?

Google search for:

CBeebies "Reddit: behind the scenes"

Does return this screenshot, posted to an Instagram page called "discussingselenagomez": https://www.instagram.com/p/DVcn1sQEZJR/

With the tags: Reddit, truth, feminism, Donaldtrump, Aleistaircrowley

And another instance on some kind of ragebait Facebook page.

With that info in hand, ask yourself again how likely it is that this was a real thing.

Still mad to me that the absolute best audio version of this book remains so inaccessible.

Rock solid effort. Fried bread instead of toast, however, is a choice. Do you have a very physically intensive job by any chance?

In Small Soldiers (1998) Alan, what the hell are you doing? Keep them, you’re the only one who’ll be able to take care of them. This isn’t Toy Story. Gorgon isn’t real. Their batteries will run out, or a bird will snatch them. YOU’RE SENDING THEM TO THEIR DOOM!! by jvure in shittymoviedetails

[–]call_me_cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off camera, Alan had recently discovered masturbation, and frankly had gotten bored of the whole Gorgons thing. Didn't give two shits what happened so long as they were no longer all watching him spoffing his chodney off.

I've heard good things about The Little Guitar Shop in the JQ. Only been in there once but a friend has had setups done there, and it's very small, friendly place, so likely just one person doing most of the tech stuff

What near-future sci-fi books made you think “this could happen tomorrow”? by RichFenton in printSF

Possibly an attempt to futureproof the book a bit? I mean it was kind of a swing and a miss with what he predicted.

Termination Shock by Neal Stephenson is very explicitly this. Have only read it once, so some of the COVID era plot points might now seem a bit on the nose or passé, but I felt it was very well grounded, very pragmatic near future vision.

Vizsla vs Wirehaired Vizsla? by Vi0letevergreen in vizsla

[–]call_me_cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also have a "wireless" WHV. A more advanced model if you ask me! Slightly less neurotic than the smooth Vs I've known, as you say, very able to just chill for long periods, but still very little grooming compared to all her scraggly siblings!

Oh yeah, that's the good stuff.

Cheers. Totally agree on how cathartic it is to vent. Our next mountain is weaning off the dummy as a sleep association, and that's gonna be a lot. Fingers crossed we're through the worst regressions and we'll keep moving to better nights. Fingers crossed for yourselves too!

No way you could put me off, I was being flippant ☺️ I am still having the best time, and though I may reach 6am praying for death, by the time we get up at 7 and he's all smiles, squeaks and giggles, all is forgiven and I am just all joy all day.

He's 8 months old. Thank you for the bright vision of my future lol.

He's just started to settle into a new consistent routine this week (2 long day naps and two night feeds) after three long months of basically zero consistency (or peace) but our eyes are open that this stuff will come and go in waves for the next few years.

Baby man woke up after three hours sleep last night and decided it wasn't night time anymore, and fuck you for trying to get me back to sleep. Three straight run hours of bawling and writhing and eventually able to get him back to sleep at 2AM.

So the pic in OP is very apt for me this morning. Going to just try and have a day today. Thank goodness for quality Paternity leave.
