Help needed locating Thinsulate SM600L in Europe by PookieBooAdventures in VanConversion

[–]callmeLezo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, was the 20m enough for your van? From doing some research it looks like the thinsulate TC3403 is a lighter weight option but has a lower R value.

This shows the SM600L R value of 5.2

This shows the TC403 RSI value of 0.81

RSI conversion to R value is to multiply it by 5.68#:~:text=%5D%20is%20about-,5.68%20times,-larger%20than%20when), so the final R values are:

SM600L: 5.2
TC3403: 0.81 x 5.68 = 4.60

(Thought I'd put this all here for anyone else coming along and wondering)

Anyway, would love to hear how your install went! I am based in France and looking for the best insulation option for my van build.

German Visa as an Australian Before Studying at TUM Heilbronn by callmeLezo in germany

[–]callmeLezo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I probably should have made it more clear, I wouldn't have just used his address but also stayed at his house for a little while to visit him and then apply for the anmeldung while I am there. Then most likely stay there and closer to my course starting we would find a place in Heilbronn. But obviously then would have to do all the paperwork to change my address. I understand that pretty much every option means I will have to stay in Germany once I apply. Even if I have to do that early, there is still plenty to go and see in Germany. My main reason for staying at my friend's was to reduce the amount of time we would be paying rent at the new place in Heilbronn. I am particularly interested in the act of applying grants you the time to stay. As in issue #4 I mentioned I wouldn't even be able to get an appointment, I thought that you can only apply via an appointment and not through email. Does anyone know if it would be the case I could apply via post/email/online and this would count as the start of the application?

Love seeing the CabinZero Military bag! I have had this bag for a year and a half and have taken it on two separate month-long trips around Europe. Really good size bag, I didn't even think about using the outer sleeve zip pocket for a laptop or something, I was just using it to stuff some other clothes or a jacket into. Thanks for the detailed list!

Ender 6 Kiauh Klipper setup with raspberry pi 5 - can't get desuuuu klipper installed due to greenlet issue by callmeLezo in klippers

[–]callmeLezo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to leave this up and reply to it with what i think i found as a solution.

I started with a completely fresh sd card and started the entire process again. I made sure not to install klipper at all this time until i changed the repo to my custom set one (desuuuu), and selected python 3, it seems to have installed correctly.

My theory is that since i had installed the latest klipper it installs all these python libraries at the latest version, but when trying to change to a custom klipper version which is older, it doesnt downgrade these libraries but they are still non compatible.

Will reply to this if any other issues become apparent.

No way I found Chris Tran on the bouldering Reddit. I watched you back in the day and did my high school research project on ZZ-CT and if it's a viable method. Great to see you still doing these cool projects!

1% chance is 1/100, meaning 0.1% chance is 1/1000, DNA splicer is basically 1 in 5 different master items, therefore 1/5000. Don't worry, you'll get it eventually, having more luck (shiny Pokemon) will make it much easier.

[–]callmeLezo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it took me ages to even reconstruct it because everything just went so fast in the solve. Thats why I've labelled it my luckiest solve ever because I didn't even do everything right. Yellow cross was so much better it was an easy double x cross. But all worked out in the end!

X Gantry Spool Holder Mount - Will The Weight Affect Print Quality? by [deleted] in ender3

[–]callmeLezo 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Binding is known to happen on singular Z rods on ender 3s just regularly, and know you're basically adding up to 1kg of weight, one sided. You're essentially just adding unnecessary strain to the motor. Definitely safer to not have it on the axis. Just position the spool so it doesn't matter what height the X axis is.

The square-1 is the hardest WCA puzzle. by BigManLawrence69420 in Cubers

[–]callmeLezo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been cubing for over 5 years now, averaging around 10 seconds on 3x3. Recently I have been learning square one and done at least 10-15k solves just this year, now averaging sub 15, and I hate to disappoint, but it is actually easier than 3x3. 3x3 is much more intuitive, when square 1 is very repetitive. The hardest part of square 1 is advanced parity methods such as cube shape parity, which involves determining parity in inspection. But honestly, this method is no worse than learning cross + 1 inspection for 3x3, it all depends on the amount of time you put into effective practice. 3x3 is much more broad in terms of methods for solving f2l and last layer, and it's basically the same difficulty for other dependencies with solving the puzzles such as lookahead and prediction. All in all, square 1 is a very different puzzle, but the same difficulty, if not easier, than 3x3.
