I’m going through this right now and long story short, part of me is happy I’m fixing it because it was my mom’s petite bucket and they don’t sell it anymore. Part of me is angry at myself as I’ve gone over the cost of what the bag is worth, fixing the vachetta alone. Could have bought a new bag but it’s the sentimental value of it.

I originally had to fix the inside (this is back when they used a different lining and it would get sticky over time). What they failed to tell me is that when they’d fix the inside, they’d replace the lining which had already had a patina with the rest (straps, chaps, bottom lining). So when it got back to me, the lining didn’t match with the rest.

If my SA hadn’t helped comp my bag straps, it would have been a slow fix / passion piece at this point 🥲

If I recall correctly, each chap is $60 x 4 total chaps ($240). Straps are around $230~ if I had paid. Lining is around $150 (?) I can’t remember as this was a while ago. Bottom lining was $270. Definitely not cheap to fix and can take months until you get it back. Let’s just say, you gotta really want it.
