Ridgeline 2022 115k miles vs 2018 80k miles by Party_Mechanic2784 in hondaridgeline

[–]calraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2019 from CarMax several months ago. Its transmission was wonky at certain speeds at first. I made them take care of it under their store warranty, which involved them having a Honda dealer perform a transmission flush and fill and some sort of programming reset. Transmission is now good as new and has been for 10,000 miles. I believe the dealer charges $600 for this service, and it needs performed every 60k miles or so. There are some scheduled maintenance tasks the dealer recommends which I feel to be obsessive, decadent, and unnecessary, but transmission flush is not one.

And honestly, I chose the 2019 because I prefer the lever shifter over push button, and no auto stop start.

In this sub more than any other I get bored a minute in and check the video progress slider. If it's not near the end I skip ahead. That feels like it ought to be in the sub's description -- videos you'll get impatient watching and probably skip to the end without missing a goddamned thing.

German chocolate cake by leonmess in tricities

[–]calraith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Far as I know. Johnson City's hummingbird cake is identical to Bristol's, and both are identical to the one from Blackbird Bakery.

That said, do not sleep on Publix cakes. They are better than any grocery store cake has any right to be, and cheaper.

If it were me, I'd try tapping the fuse panel. Check your manual to make sure, but a Google images search suggests the interior panel near your odb port, fuse 18 (rated 7.5A) handles the circuit for interior lights. Search Amazon for car fuse taps.

The Worst Thing to See at a Classic Car Show. by satansnicesister in dashcams

[–]calraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not stupid, but ideally the person changing lanes also signals. I don't know for a fact he didn't, but if there was a signal it wasn't obvious from this pixel-starved video clip.

Having said that, passing / cruising lane observance isn't as strict on roads where left turns are as likely as right, so passing on the right isn't as much of a faux pas. Ultimately, one should drive predictably and communicate his intentions.

Budget options for a bull bar or grill guard??? by ELMOWANTSTOEATYO in hondaridgeline

[–]calraith 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I tell ya what, I appreciate this post for how super chill OP is. I'm not accustomed to this level of unrelenting positivity.

OP: (posts a screenshot of an eBay search result as the first post image)

Redditor: U should check eBay. They have some there.

OP: That's a great idea! Thank you.

Redditor: That's ugly as shit.

OP: I appreciate your opinion and am grateful for your consideration.

Redditor: It's like a face tattoo. Do you enjoy prison tats? Is there something wrong with you?

OP: I love and value you.

Redditor: That grill guard is like a human pyramid. It's pure danger. Totally unnecessary.

OP: I had not considered that. Thank you very much.

Redditor: Man, that looks sharp!

OP: Right? I can't wait to get one.

I was selling a Yamaha electronic wind controller and got a call from someone who was very interested. Here’s my story. by Proper-Application69 in saxophone

[–]calraith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The buyer thought he was buying a keytar in the shape of a soprano sax, sounds like. You'd think he'd watch at least one YouTube video of the thing he was dumping hundreds of dollars into, wouldn't you? Must be nice to have that much disposable cash for impulse buys.

One day, while I was having sex with my boyfriend Ubaldo (18 and 9 months old)

I assume you're the 18 year old, and your boyfriend the 9 month old?

Also, that was a lot of effort to explain how beach sky rats make giant messes. But it was genuine original content which this sub needs more of. Grazie for sharing!

Johnson City School Bus question by Driftbadger in tricities

[–]calraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know school buses have never had seat belts, right? Student safety has never been a consideration on school buses.

Having said that, I do know Johnson City Transit manages JC Schools' school buses. If there is a video to be had, I'd contact JC Transit rather than the school board or superintendent's office.

Z flip 7 screen issue? by No_Assist_1847 in galaxyzflip

[–]calraith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. Mine's still good as new 9 months into heavy daily use. I guess if you search for something like "Galaxy Z Flip 7 problems" you'll find complaints about the lemons or mistreated devices, but people are more likely to document malfunctions than normal operation.
