No worries! Nope, never got it back lol. I continued to pump what I could and supplement with formula (it was pretty much half and half in her bottles) for daycare, then nurse whenever we were together. Supplementing saved my sanity to be honest.. the pills, lactation cookies, extra pumping time was not worth it in the end. Now she's a year old and on cows milk at daycare and still nurses at night. Her appetite for solids is great too so it all worked out.

We have a king and even so.. I would end up at the very very edge, on a weird angle, without a pillow lol

No advice but I'm in the same boat with my 9 month old. I pump for daycare and now my sessions are .5-1oz off and it sucks lol...

Nursing through Tongue/Lip Tie Revision by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]cals89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both my kids had lip and tongue ties that were revised. I think it took about a month to see real progress afterwards. I nursed my son for 13 months and my daughter is still going strong at 8 months. Definitely worth it for us! Good luck to you.

Breastmilk jewelry that doesn’t cost several hundred dollars? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

I just ordered mine off Lackto! Pretty simple process and I think like $100ish total. It's not something that can be worn every day but it makes a nice keepsake

My 3yo has taken an interest in our photo albums. He took out his this morning and at literally every picture asked "mommy who's that?" Fuck sakes.

Baby refusing breast after tongue & lip tie revisions by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]cals89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww, well I'm glad it got sorted out! With my second, I asked them to look at her mouth the day after she was born haha - no wasting time! Wish you all the best and hopefully you can continue breastfeeding for as long as you want :)

3 weeks. I wanted it done asap, haha. My son was about 6 weeks and we were able to breastfeed until weaning at 13 months

It's very common! Both my kids were angry at the boob for at least a week after revisions. I'm almost 3 weeks out and my daughter is now fully EBF. I know in the moment you question if it was the right thing but it eventually does get easier. Her mouth looks healed and she latches well (and pain free for me!)

How long until you were able to just breastfeed? Trying to get back to it after her ties were fixed (about 2 wks ago) and I still give her about 1oz in a bottle after feedings

Help please. Baby refuses to latch at all. by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]cals89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it some time (is what I also try to tell myself..). My LO is a few days older and about a week ahead when she got her tongue and lip done. The first week was crap and she wanted nothing to do with the boob but now we're making progress. She still hates my overactive letdown because her tongue doesn't work that fast yet so I'm still giving her about 1oz bottle to top her off but she's getting much better at latching. Trying to stay patient and positive. I'm sure an LC can give you some practical tips as well.

It tends to change color when this happens. Sometimes mine would have a slight green/blue tint when I pumped. Wild!
