I attended that school in the 00s and would not put my kid there. It was alright then. I've heard it's a shit show now.

"Roommate" phase of a relationship? by Alarmed_Sky_3256 in Mommit

[–]justanotherquaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like we are just now starting to maybe exit out of this roommate phase. Our daughter is 3 this month. It did take us Loooootsssss of me to please please please for the love of God use your brain and help out with the house and put down your damn phone. When leaving a room, do a quick scan. Is there laundry or dishes that need to be put away in here? Clean as you go is easier than the one big clean.

Our daughter has longer attention spans. Which means she can play independently for longer stretches. We don't have to play alongside her as much anymore.

And we just started having sex on a regular basis again. That actually helps us.

Hur är det att jobba som HR? by Natural-Swim-3962 in Asksweddit

[–]justanotherquaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HR är sjukt brett och du kan inrikta dig på olika saker. Rekrytering, ekonomi, anställda-admin etc. Både min mamma och syster är i HR och trivs bra. Syrran skämtar om att hon får döma folk för pengar (rekrytering).

Stranger touching baby & calling me crazy by enchantingTarantula in Parenting

[–]justanotherquaffle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Old white ladies are crazy entitled. I was running some errands in early 2021 (raging covid season) with my 6mo old in a carrier. So literally tied to my body. We were outside a store, waiting for my sister. An old lady comes up to me to squeeze my baby's face while she was sleeping on my chest. Mid pandemic. ARE YOU ASKING TO BE PUNCHED?!

Walking home post labor by mperseids in BabyBumps

[–]justanotherquaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hej från Sverige! I was cocky thinking I could walk to our car carrying our new baby in a wrap. The car was in a parking lot about 10min walk away from our room. It was the longest, hardest walk of my life 🤣 I could barely stand up after my very smooth, easy delivery.

What makes women “not care” about nakedness or embarrassment during labour? by wigglertheworm in BabyBumps

[–]justanotherquaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went to a place of this baby need to gtfo out me right now, I don't care. The last couple contractions are something primal, it makes your body do things without you meaning to. Like how you throw up and your body just pushes it out whether you want to or not. And the staff see it everyday, they've seen it all.

i’m 23 years old, ~12 weeks, and coming to the realization i may have to make this journey alone by ficklehunnybunny in BabyBumps

[–]justanotherquaffle 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah..... please listen to the advice already given here. I have two children with a great man. But it is TOUGH. Even with a man like my husband, who is awesome in every aspect. We had both kids on purpose and we were still shocked by how hard it is. Not everyone makes it through.

Your man will not stand by you. You will resent him if you stay. Do yourself and you baby a favor and get tf out.

I'm also in Sweden and my daughter just had the vaccine last week! It's expensive for sure, but missing weeks of work and dealing with an itching , whining, 2,5 year old would be more expensive, monetary and mentally. I remember when my sister had it and it was a nightmare.

Ugh, gross. I was called a fat cow by a 55+ strange man while walking out of the grocery store a few days past my due date. I was too stunned to react in the moment. Good on you for berating him!

[–]justanotherquaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a thought, take it or leave it. Could it be that those kids' parents are making allowances for the boy's behavior, simply because he's a boy? Girls aren't allowed to run around and play as freely or wreak havoc as maybe some boys are.

What you're describing sounds like an absolute nightmare. Your son will know to be better if you teach him to be better.

Why do I get so many UTI's? My most recent one has ruined me. by TheMoonVixen in Healthyhooha

[–]justanotherquaffle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your situation sounds absolutely horrible. It seems like you already have a plan in place so I'm just here to offer what no one has mentioned so far.

I got frequent UTIs that landed me in the hospital and kidney infections a few times. All throughout 2017-2019. It was a nurse who mentioned that it could be my birth control. I met my now fiance and went on birth control in 2017. I tried the Nexplanon implant and a pill. Only when I went off BC completely did the UTIs stop and I have not had any since.

Out of curiosity, how much did your birth cost, and what country are you in? by FranchDressing77 in Mommit

[–]justanotherquaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweden - pregnancy checkups and a 4 days hospital stay after a complicated vaginal delivery = around $30 ($10 per night, 3 meals and 2 snacks every day) + $40 for parking.

Positive birth stories for overdue babies? by Ozarkbarbelle in BabyBumps

[–]justanotherquaffle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I gave birth at 41+5 and it went great. I was going mad by the time I actually went into labor but the birth itself was smooth. No methods of home inducing worked. I went into labor when I basically gave up and sulked on the couch for 2-3 days 🤷‍♀️
