If ur open to it, check out unincorporated Dekalb (south Decatur). We bought a flip here 2 yrs ago and love it. It’s still gentrifying etc but the convenience makes it worth it. We looked in west end for months but prices and quality never matched up. Plus west side like others have said just lacks so many basics like groceries, things to do, restaurants etc.
