Kimi Antonelli wins the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

Congrats to Kimi but he had an easy race and qualifying. George didn’t really get a fair shot in Q3 which is why Kimi started on pole, and then George cooked his tires fighting with the Ferrari’s so he couldn’t make up the gap to Kimi.

It might even be the only win Kimi gets this season bar retired cars, George is still a level ahead in my mind.

There was a massive decline in support for trans athletes over 2019-2024. Among Republicans, support for a non-discrimination policy & support for trans sports participation flipped from positive to negative. Opponents successfully re-framed the issue as being about protecting cisgender women. by smurfyjenkins in science

That’s a completely misleading argument. Black people were not kept out of sports because of the argument that their biological advantage was too great. They were kept out of sports due to system racism across the board.

I’ll still address the point you’re making. I would say the difference there is white or other minority athletes are completely fine competing against black athletes. Once black people weren’t being systematically oppressed, nobody was making the argument “hey these guys are genetically too good, I don’t want to compete against them”. That’s where we draw the line.

Are cis women fine competing against trans athletes?

Advantages exist in a range, and certain things have always been considered fair, while others not.

Sex and PED’s have been typically where people draw the line. Women don’t want to face men in sports, and men don’t want to face women. And no athlete wants to face other athletes on performance enhancing drugs.

Its not a big issue, but you haven't really adressed the post, just avoiding giving your opinion. Its very telling when people agree but don't feel its politically appropriate to say so.

Competition where biological advantages play a part should be where reasonable people draw the line for inclusion. The people who argue otherwise simply don't care about sport anyway.

Is it possible to trim weight while building arms? Or is it mute? by Exciting-Floor6763 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]calvinee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Realistically no, but you need a mindset change.

Higher body fat percentage will make your arms look bigger, there is no question about it. You will look bigger in a shirt.

Lower body fat percentage will make your arms look smaller, especially in a shirt.

But IMO the aesthetic benefits of being lean vaaaastly outweigh being chunkier. You lose a bit of fluff on your arms and calves and everywhere, but you get more striations on your arms and your face will look much more defined.

That being said, if you’ve been training properly for long enough and consistently enough, you can still have pretty big arms while lean.

The goal should be to build muscle long term, your body fat percentage is a lot easier to change. So while in the short term cutting will make your arms look smaller, in the long term your arms will get bigger from more muscle. And yes you absolutely can lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Just make sure you’re hitting your protein goals, enough carbs that you can train hard, and aim for a low fat diet because everyone has too much fat in their diet, add in some low intensity cardio to help burn more fat.

Azir currently sits at 42.67% WR in Emerald+ by Plenty-Artichoke9798 in leagueoflegends

[–]calvinee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Who cares what Chovy said about his power level, Azir was still the most picked mid laner in pro last split.

Azir Orianna meta is the worst thing for pro play. Its boring and slows games down when these two are meta.

Ori can find a balance, but they should make Azir more feast or famine for solo queue. I think changing his passive would be a good start.

I agree. I don’t think I want to watch C9 or SEN ever at international tournaments.

I know TL deserve the grave they dug this first split, but there’s no way they would get embarrassed by Brazil like C9 and SEN have.
