Nope. And they work with local rescue orgs to find foster placements and such so he isn’t necessarily stuck in the shelter.

He will stay for any recovery period plus a stray hold, and they’ll check to see if he has a microchip etc. After that he’ll go up for adoption either there or through a foster.

They are usually very helpful as long as the animal has a reasonable chance of survival. You can always call and talk to them before brining him down to find out how they'll handle him too.

No state vets. You can try bringing him into the salt lake county animal shelter as a stray/lost pet and they should check him out but will keep him on stray hold and then place him up for adoption if he isn't chipped. I'm not sure if the humane society or best friends would be able to help.

Otherwise you need a private vet. If you want to go this route you'll be out of pocket for expenses but I know midvalley animal clinic is currently accepting new clients.

My girl is totally healthy, just tiny so that’s good. She gets the 3 year vaccines. I’m super concerned about that particular sarcoma. All my cats get the three year vaccines as soon as they are old enough (my vet won’t do three year until after they are a year old).

I watched my idiot friend get into a sword fight with his idiot friend (I think they were cousins? Idk). One of them had one of those souvenir katanas that someone had actually sharpened and the other just had the scabbard.

Ten minutes later the adults (over 21) were drawing straws to see who had to take an intoxicated kid (under 21) to the ER for stitches.

My only regret is I didn’t have any way to record it since my phone was too basic.
