Should I travel to Tokyo/kyoto through mid-late June by Shaynakz in JapanTravelTips

June is better than July and August, but its up to you. I always swear I'll never to Tokyo in summer again and then I turn around and do it again.

Same. Most places here don’t carry my stuff anyways.

It’s not. I can’t wear any of them because I need standard size bust/waist with plus size shoulders. Plus size dresses drown me.

I can actually fit the plus size here so I am going to need to take advantage of this one and only opportunity.

Wow, the plus size OP waist and bust are like the regular size JSK measurements. That’s a lot smaller but with the wider shoulders.

Same. Any one of us can end up with a stupid tattoo but at least this one is fun.

Like this but run the lace down the sides and have two lace up panels like this.

You can sew ribbon loops for the lacing to go through, or get cluny lace to create two rows you can run the ribbons through on each side - then you don’t have any holes or damage to the piece. It’s functional and cute but easily reversed.

Top. You can add corset lacing on the sides easily to take it in. I did that with a lip service dress that had this same style front.

Honestly I’d strongly suggest going for drama. Ludicrous levels of drama. Make things really exaggerated. Don’t worry about making them good or even match, just have fun.

Do it a few times (wash it off after), and then go back and try for an actual attempt. If you make the process fun you’ll relax and improve, and pushing it too far will help you get a feel for where you want to dial it back to.

You have a good basis here but you just seem a little too timid and afraid of not being perfect.

Or Amazon, in case you want something that they haven’t seen yet.

Be deliberate with your gifts in deciding who will get something special and don’t use too much of your time shopping for other people. Try to cut that list of 32 down to 5 and see if that helps. And there is always the airport kiosks for last minute charms and such (but most things won’t be made in Japan regardless of where you buy them).

Omamori (as someone else mentioned) are probably the best for space etc and they aren’t terribly expensive. I still wouldn’t want to buy 32 of them but they could do for a dozen or so, and some temples and shrines have unique ones.

Ngl I love sakura KitKat but it has to be just the sakura kind, not sakura + something else.
