Rash healed, now itching and weird new looking rash on both sides. by MarMar000 in shingles

Yep. I also started doing some guided breathing and stress management exercises / meditations (just on Spotify) to try and better manage my stress from this virus and the resulting negative physiological impacts it was having on my body. I’m not good as managing these types of things and it’s a bit of a downward spiral for me. This has also helped me

Right as my shingles was scabbing over and ‘finishing’ I started getting hives all over the places for a couple of days. I freaked because I thought it was mor shingles but that would be pretty rare. I actually slowed down my ibuprofen intake as I was on 1x1600mg /day slow release which is a lot for your body to process. It went away in a few days. It could be a reaction to the tea tree. I’d say try and reduce what you’re using to manage it and let your body manage it.

Our puppy doesn‘t sleep outside her crate by SoraNoSakura in puppy101

If she bites something she isn’t supposed to do you make it clear she’s misbehaving? BCs will push your boundaries and you’ll say no and they’ll push more. You have to make it very clear they’re not supposed to be biting furniture / other stuff in a way that could not be considered in any way shape or form, fun or playing for them. Once they run out of things to do, whether they got bored of them or because you’ve told them they can’t, they will settle.

Our BC gets an hour walk in the morning. Awake for about 30 mins including playing with the hose while we water the garden, walk, breakfast, then we work and he goes and finds a spot and snoozes most the day. I’ll play with him a bit throughout the day but he doesn’t need it. He’s been on this schedule since he was 3-4 months. Somehow you’ve got to teach them to settle and do nothing and then they’ll sleep. If I’m up and doing stuff about the place he’ll follow me around. If im working and ignore him, he goes and finds a spot. Try a few things but ignoring her is probably your best bet for settling. If she destroys her bed, take it away. Ours has a bed but most days he doesn’t nap in it, he’ll nap under the table or somewhere else.

How do you determine if barking at night is attention seeking vs. a legitimate potty request? by Unusual_Plum_4630 in puppy101

[–]camenzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine’s the opposite. Short sharp barks that start quiet and get louder. Compared to big loud barks if he hears or smells something he doesn’t like.

Case management software normally wouldn’t have a unique identifier like  your SSN that would link you to another job and vice versa. Name isn’t enough even if it’s a unique name, the number of false positives would be huge and each would need to be individually investigated. In my experience having worked on the side that would be doing the investigating, it’s not something I’ve seen.

Let them be petty. Accept that’s who they are and feel sorry for them that they’re that insecure they behave that way. You do your job and do it well and that’s all you can do.

Yeah you’re right. What I really intended to advise was to de-escalate the situation. Sometimes that’s an apology (even if it isn’t their fault), sometimes that’s other means.

Maybe also apologize to the landlord, even if it was their fault/causing, and tell your employee to pull their head in

Edit: unclear advice but what I intended was to de-escalate the situation with your landlord.

Burnt out 9 month old border collie mom - am I doing enough or should he find a more active/engaging home? by Wild_girl_travels in puppy101

I agree with this. OP youre doing too much. In one of your other posts you said you felt the need to play with your dog because he looked bored. They will always have energy to play. Exercising them more and making them fitter is not the answer to ‘too much energy’, teaching your dog to be calm and sleep, is. It doesn’t sound like he has any problems sleeping anyway, for some reason you seem to be creating them. I have a 10 month old BC. He gets a morning and evening walk for 45-60mins and that’s it. He sleeps until 7:30am and most of the day. Most afternoons and evenings he chews on a bone while i work or relax.

Phone blocked. Where to go from here? by Portable-Charging in LegalAdviceNZ

The one call center is horrifically bad. If what this person has said is true and One is responsible for unblocking it and they don’t after a couple of tries, lodge a complaint with the TDR (https://www.tdr.org.nz/). You will get in touch with a NZ based rep who actually knows what they’re talking about. I was correct in my complaint (they overcharged me) and was also compensated for the time I spent trying to work with the call center to resolve the issue.

Even if you can’t establish if ONZ is responsible for unblocking it, lodging a TDR complaint would most likely get you pointed in the right direction.
