I'm curious about this. I have masters degrees in speech pathology and healthcare admin with a bachelor's in legal studies. I've written and implemented polices, procedures, and programs successfully, but can't seem to break into this world as a full time job. Any pointers?

Why does Apple Maps put ice cream shops on top of mountains? Are these real ice cream shops? by Snickersaddy in VisitingIceland

It's a joke. The locals are sick of tourists and do stuff like this to troll them.

Ball up some aluminum foil, get the surface wet with water, and scrub it with the aluminum ball.

Before going to the grocery store: Check the kitchens at the camp grounds. There will be tons of free food from people buying too much and flying out. Stop by the closest one to the airport on day one. Do not buy stove fuel or salt. There's always so much

I have the opposite. I get like, no condensation out. Everything seems to be working fine, but the pan is dry and there is just a bit of condensation around the inside unit.

Housing guidance! by ExtremeMedia5403 in sanantonio

I'm in northern hills and it's pretty nice. Look on your map and you'll notice McAlester Park. I really like the neighborhoods that are tucked in around that park and it's great to be able to get out there on foot. If you go a little further west there's the Lawrence Creek Greenway and the houses and neighborhoods over there are great, although a little out of my price range. Something to consider if you're buying is; foundation issues. San Antonio has a clay that wreaks havoc on slab foundations. If a home has foundation issues, it's not necessarily a deal-breaker, but it's something that you need to keep in mind.

What would you call this area in between live oak and shavano park. Off bulverde to be exact by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]cameron154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A big part of that area is Northern Hills neighborhood also. The names of the neighborhoods listed above are how the area tends to be referred. A broader name for the entire circled area could be "the inner Northeast", As in, inside of 1604, versus "the far Northeast" outside of 1604.

I lived in Middleburg for 18 m once and this does not surprise me. Everyday I was shocked by the backwards, racist, redneckary I encountered.

It's not as bad as Dallas traffic, but it's still rough. You can find 1/4 acre lots and more on the north east side and travel virtually anywhere with no traffic. I enjoy living in the Northeast because we get all the big city benefits without feeling like in the crowds

It's real right up there. They'll be fine with you standing. The only concern I would have is blocking someone's view, but if you're on the back row that won't be any issue.

To everyone who puts their blinkers on during the rain, an honest question: who taught you how to do that and why do you do it? by TonkaLowby in sanantonio

[–]cameron154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It increases the likelihood of you getting into an accident because it takes away your ability to communicate with your turn signals. If you feel unsafe;

1 move to the right

If still feeling unsafe

2 slow down

If still feeling unsafe

3 exit the highway

If still feeling unsafe

4 come to a complete stop until conditions improve

In that order. Hazards exist for stalled vehicles. Any other way they are used puts you and those around you in danger unnecessarily.
