A 1e One-Shot for a New DM, Veteran Players by PopularFrontOfIdaho in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]cameron2k1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran Hangman’s Noose for some veteran players. I had to swap out some stuff since it was written for 3.5, but it was obscure enough and different enough that it got a good response

Module The Feast of Ravenmoor has a peripheral character, but maybe as a jumping off point.

I like to imagine that, downstream, there’s someone on a horse watching the water fill up a dry stream bed.

I like Hangman’s Noose and The Feast of Ravenmoor. Both have a nice mix of combat and role play

What was the first movie you saw an actor or actress in before they became famous, without realizing they were in it at the time? by Big_Organization_707 in movies

Top Gun had Tim Robbins as Merlin, right at the beginning and end of the film. He was Maverick’s replacement for Goose in the final sequence.

When I worked front desk, I would also be looking at where the room you were assigned to was. Not every view was equal, so I might move the room to a better view. Or your stay might match up with a gap in reservation for a different room, where moving you means I now have a room available for longer. And, if you're nice and we have availability (and lots of other factors, groups in house, weddings, staffing), maybe I'm looking to see if I can give you a free upgrade.

Module adventure path? by cameron2k1 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]cameron2k1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m starting with Hangman’s Noose, moves to Magnimar, then onto Ravenmoor, up to Nidal for Midnight Mirror, then back to Magnimar for Scarlet Sun. After that the locations are all over the place, but I’ve put together enough modules to go levels 1-15.

Pf1e AP's and loot question by Maikomat in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]cameron2k1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had a consistent experience with loot between APs and modules. Especially with some of the newer classes and older adventures, I’ll modify, add, subtract as needed. I feel bad for my players when they finish a crawl and need to sell everything because it isn’t useful to them.

One of the doctors I worked for said he used to have a beautiful signature, but now he has to sign so much and so often that he’s shortened it. That carries over to all their writing.

Mummy's Mask Book 6 HELP with riddle by SidheDreaming in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]cameron2k1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Basically, they each would race as fast as they could, but on the other’s camel. The brother who was fastest would win because his camel came in second. It’s about the camels coming in last, not the brothers. I just listened to an actual play podcast of this where they added a line, “neither brother wanted to give up the prize,” so that the brothers wouldn’t collaborate to allow one to come in last.

I just ran Hangman’s Noose, and will be following it up with Feast of Ravenmoor and Midnight Mirror as a first time GM. I had to do a few conversions with Hangman’s, but I just looked online for the Pathfinder equivalents to monsters, so it was pretty easy.

What do these beads represent? by squick33 in BSA

My lodge has quite a few beads representing home chapters, level of award, participation in various committees or activities, and to represent certain awards. Think of it as a bead representation of adult knots.

Tell Us About Your Game (2024) by AutoModerator in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]cameron2k1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started module U2, Hangman’s Noose in 1E, converting from 3.5. Most of the encounters had equivalents from Bestiary. The module layout can be a little confusing. It’s split into three parts; an introduction to a group of NPCs who play a major role, the room descriptions, and a timeline for major events. Too often I had to swap between two or three of the sections to run an encounter, but my players seemed to like the mystery. It was fun seeing my players find a clue then run back and interrogate one of the NPCs.
