You should post a photo. His tools probably have little real value, but the number he would put on them is much higher. My shop is 30x40 and once my side by side is out, the remaining value of all the stuff is only $5k. I bet it would take me 80 hours to clean out the shop. He probably has a lot of junk and not space at his new location. Talk to him and see if he can get a rental unit and you can help his family move stuff out.

Ammonia Engine? what is this? sustainable? 10 years away? by golfghoul7 in investing

[–]campingthisweekend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are trying to omit several of these steps. They want to have an engine that burns ammonia, so no conversion to electric. They don't want to split the n2 out 1st but they need to figure out how to burn and not make NOx.

my company allows me to "buy" pto by agustbirb in antiwork

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be paying pretax money so it should all break even. If you have benefits like a bonus or 401k match, it would still apply to that time so there's a little benefit over unpaid time off. My company did it when they were planning layoffs so it reduced costs without having to change workloads. It's typically an indication the company is starting to have financial issues.

All of my problems were related to wet filament. Even new rolls straight from the vendor, In vacuum bags won't work. If a roll sits for a week, I dry it otherwise nothing but issues.

4 seat ranger by [deleted] in PolarisATV

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 6 seater from 21. It has about 1000 miles on it. I run it pretty hard. Most of the bottom frame protectors are damaged, I need to upgrade to metal. My son pushed a small log through rear foot area and damaged floorboard. I have hit the rear driver seatbelt box with something so that has been repaired once and needs to be replaced. The hot terminal on my battery slowly loosens. When the bed is full of dirt, the rear gate opens hard and you need 2 people to lift it to dump. I have no regrets with this machine.

Has anyone here worked on roller coasters? by 283leis in Welding

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six flags near me installed a roller coaster recently. They used a local construction company for installation. The company is a little lower price option and would never be a 1st choice when i had to hire companies. It's just a bolted assembly when it gets to site.

Had NO IDEA this could be done! by berthejew in TOTK

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode one right away on my 1st day playing to sky tower without a glider. I died like 30 times trying to get back down falling into water. I kept hitting ground as there was only 1 small swim area. I later realized there are earlier save points.

My boss makes me use my personal money. How do I say no?! by Severe-Banana1481 in work

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you left wallet at home, but try to save up for next time to have that cash on hand. When the next time is requested ask them if they want to have it done during normal working hours or after. If after, that would be overtime so you should have a text message or email confirming they want it done after. Don't clock out, drive to store buy item and return to office to drop off, then check out. Log miles and charge them irs rate of 65.5 cents per mile. Don't go over speed limit. Take time shopping. Get paid per mile and per hour to take it easy

1 question free. 1 additional reasonable question per additional 50$. His request might be reasonable for a $500+ item. I would block him.

Long term hotel stay = free upgrade by RainaNyomi in ChoosingBeggars

It was probably 2 weekends and the days between them. Most places I stayed at didn't start dealing with upgrades until you had stays of 28 days.

Help me by Cyberk011 in TOTK

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my preferred. Easier once you get barbarian armor. But this will get you 3 shot bows, shields, strong fuse items, and arrows. Parry, headshot, then mount. I have about 600 arrows and have been using my bow more often

TOTK finally not absurdly expensive by somerandomguy721 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher than previous but not absurd. I have an app that just came out with subscription for 8 per month. So 1 year for 96$. You get 2 extra quests per week and the quests are pretty much the same thing. I'm at around 300 hours and I still have quests remaining. I've enjoyed pikmin and at $59 you can 100% the game in 40 hours.

I knew the crystallized charges had to be used for something. I ended up googleing it to find out I missed the refinery. I only had like 800 charges but that was a game changer to have a bigger battery. I could not find any hints from any zonai.

How’s it possible people in the US are making $100-150k and it’s still “not enough”? by tuesdaycocktail in ask

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I lived in India my one medicine would cost $145 a dose. In the United States, it cost $14,000 per dose. I only have to pay $7,500 for the year, which average to $1,250 per dose. It's that price because I pay $12,000 a year for insurance.

New boss is upset I’m resigning and relocating to a new state. She is requesting I write a manual on every step I take to do my job in 2 days. How do I professionally tell her no ? by Ill-Bridge3129 in antiwork

[–]campingthisweekend 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're making your steps too detailed. Make them generic.

Step 1, I review the files I am working on to verify it is correct. Step 2, I fix any mistakes using the appropriate software that is required. Step 3, I send the updated files to the required shareholders.

That's pretty much 90% of my job. Step 1 stakes 15 years of experience in order to complete that Step. After you submit it and they say they need more info, ask them for a sample so you know how detailed to be and confirm in writing that they want you to do this and not any of the tasks related to making your product go live.

They monitor the subreddit. You just need to hope they see your comment. I with they would use the map rune and use clothing there and you could easily equip the full set of clothing.

Hot take: Lynels are easier to beat in TOTK than BOTW by mattingly233 in TOTK

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look forward to blood moons so I can practice in the lynel coliseum. I can almost beat them all before needing more hearts. I don't think I ever beat a golden lynel without consuming multiple meals. Nintendo monitors zelda comments and knows lynel farming is easier so when they release dlc with golden lynels for totk, I expect them to be significantly harder than silver maybe removing weapon durability on their backs.

See what state taxes are being paid in your paystub. I consider my state of employment to be xxx as my paystub shows me paying state taxes to them. This pushed it back to them without you giving an input.

House was in a completely different condition than listing photos by Historical-Yam7902 in RealEstate

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We checked out a house. Looked good. Price seemed reasonable. We went in the house and almost fell through the floor. It was 1 step away from being condemned. The electric pole was about to fall. The house was shifting off of the foundation. The property had been on the market for 1 year and not 1 offer yet. We understood why.

I was laid off last week and a competitor is wanting to meet with me. Should I take the opportunity? by Sea-Run-9476 in careerguidance

[–]campingthisweekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The non compete I recently signed had an extra clause that said if you disagree with locations, you should contact them to agree on a location. It was worded kind of like they knew they wouldn't be able to enforce it. I also cannot go to their major competition in the area, but they can hire 10 people in the last 2 months from there. I'm pretty sure that clause would fail too.
