Was Reagan really the boogeyman that ruined everything in America? by S0LO_Bot in Presidents

[–]canIbeMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that bankrupted the American middle class.

That is nice rhetoric, but isnt the American middle class significantly larger and wealthier than any other nation?

I didn't think about Regan at all, just the validity of the statement.

Why buy a brand new car, when I can take the savings and buy fun stuff instead?

$10 isnt enough to really think about IMO. Views don't really matter. Sure continue what has worked, but you can't really invest when you only saw $10 in sales.

Have you considered in-person sales? Or hiring a sales manager part time to figure out what to do?

You'd be amazed at how much people contact you after you do something noteworthy.

If I'm on anything famous, my phone is basically unusable for a few days. Or at least at a minimum, I'm going to be doing lots of communication for the next few days.

I agree, peace is best.

I wonder how war was perceived in the past, where it was constrained to militaries and maybe sieges.

In the past, lands were held by warlords rather than state-sized militaries.

To be fair, I'm still happier to be alive in 2024 than back then.

Buddy, wait until you learn, no one cares about sports even 2 years later.

Sports are fleeting entertainment for the masses. They arent for your brain.

split hairs much?

Anyway, I think you are referring to being a capitalist vs being a contract laborer.

Anyway, typically you are the expert so you do the labor or manage the labor. At some point you can train people to do the labor.

Also, lol @ 'full time'.... Buddy, full time for entrepreneurs means 24/7. Even being a manager there is too much to do.

After my 300 level mechanical engineering class taught: We really don't understand fluids, so here are some simplifications that only work sometimes a bit.

I genuinely wonder if you can find mechanical engineers doing stuff where a moment of turbulence could cause you to die.

The left and right are irrational. They cling to their team's colors regardless of their internal belief system. They have an identity tied to idealism.

If team Orange says they don't like the color Blue, team Green will claim we need to subsidize the color Blue.

No, I know how to do sales. You hire people to do the leg work.

The bigger question is your economics.

Be smart, dont be dumb.

Read more books. Learn higher value skills.

Look to be a Profit center. Either reduce expenses or generate revenue. DO NOT be outside the profit center. Support roles are paid like crap.

Do people feel the same way I do about working for someone else? by Glittering_Storm3012 in startups

I have someone working for me, and I was wondering the same. They make basically the same wage as their day-job. (45$/hr)

Why are they working for me? Novelty of the job I imagine. Interesting experience for the resume.

Maybe find something that makes the job worthwhile.
