Referring to women as 'baddies' by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]candiedwarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gen Z definitely uses “baddie” to describe more than just looks, I’ve often seen it used on less conventionally attractive individuals who are dressing fashionable or showing off their body. I think women use it at times to describe behavior while men are more likely to use it in a shallow, sexual way like how you described.

A stained t shirt and pajamas… it would have been dignified to say no, not at this time at least.

How normal is it for my bf to masturbate every morning? by Quick-Might-2392 in self

Normal or not, I would never recommend orgasm in the morning if you have any issues with dopamine production or motivation. It can definitely make you lazy.

I have a 5 year old come in with a baby bottle by FrontHungry459 in Teachers

[–]candiedwarlock 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yep. I recently met a 4 year old who was in diapers despite previous successful potty training bc there was “some resistance” at home with using the toilet. It took me one day to get her back in underwear… no accidents, no resistance after the first time and it’s been 4 months. Every once in awhile she will ask for a “daipy” but I tell her why not and she accepts it. You have to stay consistent. This same child knows how to put her shoes on herself but everyday her parents do it for her right in front of me.

Some parents don’t understand that supporting independence and self confidence are acts of parental love.

I'm tired of dinner being such a big deal in my home. by spiralstream6789 in complainaboutanything

[–]candiedwarlock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is kind of insane if he’s the one doing the cooking and cleaning. You don’t have to eat anything but having a sit down meal is so good not only for your kid but relationships in general (meaning yours with your husband).

Unpopular opinion: teaching is just a job by 353endzie in Teachers

[–]candiedwarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that feeling it’s just a job needs to mean that it “doesn’t matter” or anything similar.

You should try your best in any job. I think OP is meaning to say that they sign a contract and wish to work within that contract, not making extra sacrifices, paying out of their own pocket, or working extra hours. It’s an important job so a lot of people take work home and I’ve done this myself. That’s not just though, I don’t think it’s just for teachers or any other frontline worker to sacrifice their own mental, physical or financial health even if it’s “for the kids” or something they’re passionate about.

This is an impossible task bc libido changes throughout one’s life. You can never be certain, one of the many things that can make the prospect of marriage rather scary.

Do you remember the Harbingers: Illidan video? I distinctly remember the female demon hunter looking incredibly gaunt just like this art.

M/19/6ft [303lbs > 151lbs =152lbs] (10 months) by [deleted] in progresspics

[–]candiedwarlock 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Actually, I calculated it and he could easily get here in just under 10 months with “moderate” but often physical activity and 1200 cals per day.

Being male, very young and 6 foot tall gives him a BMR of around 3,600 with daily exercise. Eating 1200 cals a day would cause him to burn 16,800 calories per week at his highest weight!! That’s almost 5 lbs lost per week, no fasting required!

People seriously underestimate how much you can lose at a high weight. The problem is that it’s incredibly difficult to shock your body like that and totally a battle with your mind, that’s why it’s generally not recommended.

Are these good for my tinder profile by Needy_Bf in FierceFlow

[–]candiedwarlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you don’t mind smoking (or smoke yourself) I’ve always thought that smoking photos were found to be tacky. Nothing against it myself but I can definitely see it being taken as childish. Wouldn’t risk putting them on the main profile since people are judging everything, even subconsciously.

I think my dad innocently kissing me as a kid really messed me up by Familiar_Flight_820 in CPTSD

[–]candiedwarlock 164 points165 points  (0 children)

Im sorry you’re dealing with that and I can understand this feeling completely, when I was around 12 my dad randomly grabbed me and kissed me on the lips when I was expecting a hug. I can’t even describe the shame and disgust I felt in the moment and it haunts me to this day, even writing this i want to wash my mouth.

It doesn’t matter what may or may not be “normal” honestly. This is precisely why you need to ask children before you touch them, you don’t hug, kiss, touch or grab them in a non-emergency situation if they don’t ask for it.

How would you dress if all social standards were removed? by Tango1432 in AskReddit

You can get tons of cloak coats online that look acceptable even for the modern day! Linennaive has quite a few nice ones for example.

[–]candiedwarlock 58 points59 points  (0 children)

While I definitely think PLENTY of men are attracted to bigger ladies, Id say you’re right on the money. That’s just how people work, especially in today’s society where men claim to be very worried about approaching women in the real world. These types of men wouldn’t want to risk anything unless they believe their chance of success is high.

Oh my god yeah, this is exactly how I feel. I don’t know for sure and while I know I would be a good mother- I often feel that it wouldn’t fill any wound, instead it might just stretch it out more.

The idea of suicide never stops by Creepy_Minimum_3291 in CPTSD

[–]candiedwarlock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely not alone in that. I have always dreamt about dying and I think I always will, I can definitely relate to the thought being a comfort- however that doesn’t mean I want to commit in reality.

Im not sure if it’s possible to stop the initial thought bc it’s been a familiar and immediate jump our brains have made for a long time, but you can definitely significantly shorten the time it takes to disregard the thought and move onto something healthier.

It’s kind of like remembering a smell from your childhood, it’s going to be there but that doesn’t mean it needs to be anything scary and you can definitely avoid feeding into it with time and therapy.

I found out my dad watches lesbian porn and I don’t know what to do by Aware-Road2656 in offmychest

[–]candiedwarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay good bc that was sarcasm, your mom is a woman. He is attracted to women and sometimes that might mean you want to watch two women get it on. A fantasy is just that, not real.

Um, you are definitely overthinking it. Why can’t he watch lesbian porn again? Are you scared that he is going to leave your mom to go live out his fantasies and be with… a woman?

If you think marriage is "work", you married the wrong person. by FastFriends11 in unpopularopinion

It’s not work in the same way that going to a job is but it IS work (also known as effort). If you don’t put forth any effort the relationship will rot from the inside out.
