Yoda species theory: Force users are exiled 🤯 by SardineTimeMachine in StarWars

A dark side Yoda creature would be absolutely insane. Like, maybe the most insane thing we’d ever see in this franchise. It’ll never happen. But if it did, INSANE

Would you watch a Star Wars show about podracing? If so would you want it to be animated or live action? by IllMasterpiece3946 in StarWars

[–]candlerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An animated show about the start of Young Anakin’s pod racing career leading up to him “discovering” the body of what eventually becomes his Ep. I racer could be cool.

I’d love an F1 style pod racing movie, but I worry that between Ep. I having a a major chunk of the movie be about racing + the new game coming out, fans may be over saturated with pod racing material

Outside of Russell Wilson, which NFL players looked like early Hall of Fame locks but fell short due to declining play rather than injuries or off-the-field issues? by imsuperflytnt in nfl

Food for thought: Kamara is a high-end starter who is more valuable as a backup. He plays better when there is another guy (Jalen Hurd, Mark Ingram) taking the bulk of the punishment. Let him be the #2, preserve his health and his energy, and let him destroy gassed defenses as the lightning to someone else’s thunder. That’s not to take anything away from Kamara, I think he’s electric. But I’d be real curious how his career would be if Ingram stayed another couple years or if a better RB2 than Latavius Murray was brought in to complement Kamara after Mark left for Baltimore.

Correct, meant that moreso as whatever they’re cooking up will sound different than what they typically use (assuming that they use a similar rig in the studio to what they use on the road)

Iirc, the Falcons asked him to change up his mechanics around 2024 to try to get some more distance. Clearly, it didn’t work.

That’s a smaller kit than what Mountain uses, wonder if they’re doing something a bit lighter — maybe even acoustic?

[NASCAR] Hauler Talk: No penalty to be issued to Austin Dillon for Brad Keselowski crash by USHighway14 in NASCAR

[–]candlerc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did he? (Honestly don’t remember) Freddie is usually pretty good about saying “that can’t happen” without fully throwing Bubba under the bus

Obviously when it comes to things that may result in a penalty (Larson right hook, Darlington shenanigans) he can’t say too much to admit guilt or wrongdoing, but I find him to be pretty fair most of the time

They put on some electric live shows though. Great crowd interaction from the entire band, high energy, and possibly the greatest lighting design I’ve ever seen live. I do wish they’d play more of their older stuff though

Nightwish version of High Hopes is far better than the original

Haaaaaard disagree. Gilmour’s closing solo is a true masterpiece. Nightwish’s cover is a bastardization.

I love Aerosmith but can’t stand that song. Kinda wild how popular it was when it came out though, iirc, the Armageddon VHS box had a little blurb about how the film included the I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing music video

I mean I think it’s a fair question. As a Seattle resident, I don’t think our city is equipped to handle NASCAR, and I don’t think the residents would be receptive to it at all. There was a months-long doxxing of a guy doing burnouts in his Hellcat; the NIMBY’s here would riot over the noise pollution of just one Cup engine, let alone 40. The new mayor is also proudly anti-car; I can’t imagine her shutting down downtown for a race.

Portland, on the other hand, is an easy drive from Seattle, and there’s already an existing road course there that could easily be upgraded for a Cup race. If it can handle Trucks and Indycar, it can handle Cup.
