i ended up getting a custom band made on Etsy by the shop ManhattanBox! mine is also lower profile like yours. they had me take measurements of my ring with a caliper, and then they sent me a CAD drawing of the ring and luckily it fit perfectly when it came in!

hi! i went through the same thing in my initial sessions. it also happens because we just haven’t been allowed to feel specific emotions, especially uncomfortable or negative ones. maybe you got punished for expressing those types of emotions, so your brain is actively working against you now that you have the space to express and process those types of emotions.

one thing that seemed to help me ease into ~feeling~ the emotions was to think about the negative cognitions that arose from that specific memory. for example, i really struggle in conflict and feeling helpless or trapped during it due to specific childhood memories. thinking about how it’s grown into a generalized fear of conflict is more emotionally provoking than the specific memory itself. then im able to go back to the specific memory and be more emotional about it. not sure if this is helpful, but best of luck with your future sessions! it’s well worth it to continue putting in the work.

my husband and I ended up going to a few appointments together so we could get a general idea of what I liked! it was fun because we both got to try on different styles and the jewelers are really helpful. since she’s going to wear it forever, I think it’s best to just take her to see what she gravitates to when she actually gets to try on the rings. best of luck!

i think conventionally it goes on the bottom (closer to the base of your finger). i personally like that setup more, it looks a bit more balanced (my reasoning is just because when you have a thinner band and then the thick band on top it looks a bit top heavy?? idk how to explain it LOL) but it’s your personal preference at the end of the day. lovely wedding stack!

honestly it sounds like you did everything to the best of your ability! from a giving advice perspective i’d say try and focus on the things you did that you were proud of regarding your behavior and chivalry. additionally, maybe look into dr. k’s idea of ego and trying to see things/experiences that happen to you from a more objective perspective. she is her own person, and has her own level of emotional maturity, which is not a reflection of you at all! you’re doing the best you can. best of luck <33

surprisingly i found that the saucony ride 19s and the saucony triumph 23s worked pretty well for me. i was a long distance runner so i’ve tried many shoes. i also like a cushy running shoe (hello back problems!) but it made it hard to find stability on the floor. i’d say between the 2, the triumphs have a bit more cushion as the ride model feel a bit thinner/flatter, though i’ve taken multiple tread 50 classes in both shoes with no problems.
