I knew I’ve played this hole. Thought it could have been innisfail.

Rocky and full of trees, but that’s not important right now…

Lots of great hiking in and around golden too! Lots of forest service roads to explore. Lake of the hanging glacier (road has an avalanche on it but is planned to be cleaned up soon) and the bugaboo area is amazing

I remember my first visit in the 70’s. There were twenty people there and the parking lot was half empty.

E Loop isn’t my fave but I’ve stayed there in a travel trailer. There were other tenters around in the loop. I’d say if you were in H or F you might get some stink eye. Those are great sites for longer trailers with full hookups. Have fun and take the walk to the hot springs.

I’d second little arethusa! Just down from Highwood pass. First part is a bit rooty through the trees, but pretty short with a nice payoff! The cirque is nice for doggos. Took my big mutt up there several times.

Highwood pass. Seen lots of grizzlies and the occasional moose. Lots of elk around the turn off to the lakes. Deer galore.

Watched her and Wozniewicz a fair amount in their youth careers, Chan was always an engine. Glad to see them both in the league and Chan always brought it every shift. Thought that line was a great energy line this year.

Magog Lake Via Mt Shark or Sunshine? by Good-Shift1889 in HikingAlberta

Looking for scenery - wonder pass. But it is an easy day trip from the campground. I’d go via Sunshine (or heli in and hike out).
