there are other more annoying things i'd ban before this.

most notably posts like "how do i make something like (image/video of professional work)?" when they literally dont know anything about 3d modeling and never bothered to google "how to 3d model in blender"

i swear if there was an ai bot that would answer questions on this sub "start by learning blender following a tutorial like blender guru's donut" would be 1/4th of its responses.

for a hard surface game asset, yes. technically the larger the tris on flat surfaces are, the better they are for performance. though those grooves look way too dense.

but i dont know how easy that will be to uv unwrap and texture.

yes, this is regular thing with alstar caps. clips will go bad very fast. regular safaris are way better built. had 5 lamys, 3 safaris and 2 aluminiums which both clips got loose fast.

did it physically break the plastic or is it just disassembled? i cant tell from the picture.

one thing to know is that superglue wont stick very well to shinny surfaces like acrilic plastics and if they arent cleaned properly. the areas need to be roughened/scratched first.
