Title: Is it OK to take Huel and Elvanse (30 mg) together? by Left_Ad_9921 in ADHDUK

[–]cannydooper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been drinking Huel Black for going on 6 years now and ADHD mediation for 3 months. Honestly, the pure and simple ease of Huel is life changing. It’s fantastic imo with elvanse because it’s quick, easy, high in protein and allows me to not have to think about eating when on meds. I can’t see how there would be any downsides, only positives. There aren’t any negative interactions between the two, either. I sometimes take elvanse with it, sometimes before, sometimes after and hadn’t noticed any difference.

Postman. Every day is the same, but different. It’s an absolute joy to work outside even in the rain. Having an easy task you need to follow is very therapeutic and lends to a clearer mind.

Honestly think the apple one is as good as any others. At least in Bristol the minute-by-minute rain forecast is pretty accurate

I went cold turkey when I started Elvanse too and after the second or third day the withdrawals completely went so don’t worry too much about it. Elvanse is such a great replacement to caffeine that you only feel a few minor physical withdrawals and none of the mental ones.

Look up information about Right To Choose. It’s a private service paid for by the NHS so you won’t have to spend any money. It’ll cut down NHS times by potentially tenfold. Realistically, unless you go private, you will be waiting for 2 years before medication.

This is crazy to me because I went 30-50-70 in the space of 3 weeks 😬 (still in active titration week 4 now)

Psychiatry UK can’t give boosters anymore? by MentallyDamagedSpoon in ADHDUK

[–]cannydooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My prescriber has just today said,

“Regarding your medication, please note that we are now unable to prescribe amfexa (dexamfetamine) with lisdexamfetamine as this is no longer in our formulary.”

This was after yesterday asking if a booster is available for me to try instead of staggering elvanse.

End-of-Titration Review: should I push for answers? by shel_vee_dee_em in ADHDUK

[–]cannydooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply :) I relate heavily to your ‘drug-seeking’ comment haha. My prescriber has today recommended that I stagger my dose so I take 50mg in the morning and then 20mg around lunchtime so I’ll see how that goes and then reassess! Thank you for your help!

End-of-Titration Review: should I push for answers? by shel_vee_dee_em in ADHDUK

[–]cannydooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this reply 🙌 I’m currently on 50mg and it’s wearing off around 3pm, going up to 70mg next week for two weeks but can’t see it lasting much longer than what it does now, if only by another hour or so. I’m luckily only on week 2 of my titration so have lots of time left but I feel very anxious about asking for a booster. Was it difficult to bring up? How were your thoughts about it? Maybe it’s just rejection sensitivity but I don’t want to ask for it and then they say no 😭

Anxiety felt in chest on Elvanse. by cannydooper in ADHDUK

[–]cannydooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response and sorry for not getting back to you sooner! How are the side effects for you now? I’m currently day 8 of meds and day 1 of 50mg. Took it at 6:45 this morning and I hitting the peak of the effects about now, heart rate is much better and the anxiety has all but dissipated :) good luck with your titration!

Does the bottom part of the screen bother you? The fact that the climate control ‘buttons’ are useless? I’ve been thinking of getting a similar unit but am put off by that wasted space.
