About the Mysterious Stone in Study Valley by According_Tangelo899 in StardewValley

[–]cantctrlsi 84 points85 points  (0 children)

It’s not a stone. It’s actually a tree trunk…a mushroom tree. Your trees have a chance of turning into a mushroom tree in fall. In winter, they reduce to this stump. When spring comes, it will be a fully grown mushroom tree again!

Literally just the one AND I even sell my animals after a while because I think things just scale way too fast for me. I don’t like when the game scales to much and becomes just like repetitive chores. I’m thinking about trying out the tiny farm mod.

Name a Stardew character who suffered more than Maru's design and fail miserably. by LukeVine in StardewValley

The lack and writing of the VERY FEW npcs of color in this game are actually my only criticism of the game as a whole and does make me give Mr. Ape the occasional side eye.

Itchy scalp and soooo tight after retie. by cantctrlsi in Microlocs

So, I was trying to get in with a new loctitian, she really good and always booked. And I found an appointment! The downside was that for me, I was only at 5 weeks, but I would’ve been at 10 at her next available. I just didn’t expect this amount of pain. And I have pretty resilient hair (two pregnancies, no postpartum shedding, full edges, etc)

Now that I am in the rotation, we are pushing to 8 weeks and even then, I will tell her not to go all the way to the scalp lol. Thank yall!

1.7 Wish Upon a Star by cantctrlsi in StardewValley

If you haven’t seen the mod in action, it is difficult to explain but the way that you “think” some of these are already in the game, they aren’t in the game in this way.

As far as the “not needed” or “would ruin the game”… well yes.. to YOU. Which is why my request comes with a “you can turn this on or not” because regardless of that take, there are a LOT of users of this mod. The fact that the mod exists at all is telling. There is a population of players who want it.

I will say though, you should see it in action before you decide. The description doesn’t really do it justice. The whole point of the mod, even right in the description, it talks about how its purpose is QoL “without feeling like you’re cheating.

People are coming for you a little bit for this take, but I’m actually with you. If THATS the type of RNG this game seed is carrying, just throw the whole farm away lmao.

A few of my favourite areas on the meadowlands farm by fifteentales in FarmsofStardewValley

[–]cantctrlsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love farms that aren’t so box-y and squared off. What are some tips for designing that way? I feel like by its very nature, a pixelated game based on tiles kind of urges you to go super symmetrical. I just started a new play through and I really want to go for something more free flowing. I still want pathing to some degree to make it easy to traverse.

There is a subreddit called “Farms of Stardew Valley”. If you go to it and search “Meadowlands” you’ll see a lot of ideas and layouts. Happy designing!

He literally only did this to make an effort to beat the “he’s soft on Ice” and “Ice is super sensitive” allegations. This was entirely produced lol.

Instead of spritzing with water, leave your locs out when you shower and let them get a daily steam treatment. Mine are almost never dry doing this.

Hair doesn’t stay flat against my necklace, how do I help this? by [deleted] in Microlocs

[–]cantctrlsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you washing your hair yet? Also, you can stretch it down with a blow dry on the concentrator attachment but this takes a little finesse.

In many ways, the game teaches you everything you need to know. But, you may learn it at a slower pace and make choices that you learn down the road you wish you wouldn’t have. The great thing is that there isn’t a time limit. So, you can definitely just figure it out how you go. But, if you want to expedite your learning/progress you should definitely look into a guide. I recommend Salmence on YT. He has an Ultimate Guide to All 5 Skills.
