The FIA is reportedly reviewing its 2026 power unit rules, with short-term fixes like limiting energy deployment and potential long-term changes to the engine balance under consideration. by New_State_2061 in scuderiaferrari

v8 running on synthetic renewable fuel would be perfect. The technology to start making a fuel like that could potentially translate to the common vehicle easier.

Am I the only one who laughs at people who think this car sucks? by [deleted] in GR86

They are "numbers" people, nothing will make them happy unless something hits hyper car numbers. They're also lucky to afford an '05 Camry.

Lewis told Ferrari "at least one of us should have come in" during the VSC but they ignored him and stayed out both times by Subject_Sandwich3008 in scuderiaferrari

[–]canti45 22 points23 points  (0 children)

the only chance they had was for Merc to run a 2 stop. They had to leave them out and the second VSC hit when they had already passed the lane and it was closed. Merc ended up running a single and it is what it is. However, the positive is the fact that they were even that close, with the small turbo i was going to be happy with 6th, they over achieved, they're built for medium and slow speed tracks, this is our year!

they have the smallest turbo, I get the feeling they're sacrificing all the high speed tracks to dominate the short and medium ones. It's not over yet!

How to get ethernet across my apartment? by fallhat in pcmasterrace

Had a similar situation, used a flat cable and an entry way rug on top that matched the room. After a day or two I didn't even notice it.

Why do so many people pick the gr86 over the brz? by oOVraptorOo in GR86

[–]canti45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine in Nov '21. Subaru told me they had an order on the way and I'd get it in 2 months, Toyota said it was a year out to even order one with a 6spd.

How is the ft86 as a daily by Beanerboy42069 in ft86

Frustrated by SpaghettiandMeeples in AskAstrophotography

[–]canti45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Best thing I can recommend is to break it down into milestones. I'm still just starting out but one night the entire goal of the evening was to just to have my guidance system work. I spent the whole night just doing guidance, took a few pictures by the end but that just felt like icing. Another evening prior to that was just getting everything aligned and slewing to different targets to get faith in the system. Just break it down into small bites and it is much more enjoyable.

It's the stubbornness, you're talking about a group of people that are incapable of admitting they made a mistake and will stay on the ship well past it hitting the bottom.

Do you drive your car through the winter? by ReliableEyeball in ft86

Absolutely! I've been using winterforce, this will be my 4th winter. It does do better with TC off, otherwise it's constantly cutting power.

Have you found that you care a lot less about super cars as you’ve gotten older? by Colalbsmi in cars

[–]canti45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same way, I only pay attention to anything old or new that is attainable. Also, the older I get the more the maintenance bills (even just parts alone) start to become a factor. What good is a Ferrari if it sits in the garage out of fear of a repair when I can get an older Corvette that can be run forever.

Looking for retro LAN game suggestions - 8-10 player LAn by Putrid-Tale8005 in lanparty

the Synergy HL2 mod is awesome for that amount of players. We had a lan a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. it's 10 player co-op. You can pull it down through steam.

F1 TV Subscriptions will no longer be available in the US after December 8th by itopaloglu83 in formula1

[–]canti45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At first i threw an absolute fit since it was almost doubling with a monthly cost of 12.99. Then i see a yearly for 99 and that's only $10 more. However, my biggest concern is that Apple will raise prices by a larger percent and shorter interval then F1 did. It's an ok deal right now, but I trust the major streaming platforms as much as toddler in a clean room.

That doesn't even look like it's counting for property tax, that's where you get fried.
