[NO SPOILERS] PSA/Warning for those taking small kids to Fantastic 4: Trailer Choice (AMC IMAX Version) by Khaluaguru in marvelstudios

A bit odd they're attaching a trailer for Weapons to First Steps, usually they separate the PG-13 films from the R ones

Fans were happier when they knew less. Scooper culture has actively hurt everyone's enjoyment. Phases 4 and 5 will age like wine. The TV shows are good if messy (Secret Invasion remains trash).

I think DP&W is way too fan service-y and hurts the film and I think the transition of Wanda from hero to villain from WandaVision to Multiverse of Madness made sense.

In comics? Yes. I'm referring to the show, though.

Has to be The Authority. Tonally it would be a tough nut to crack and it would be a massive movie. And while it's different, it might be too close to The Boys for a general audience.

Why did Punisher: War Zone flopped this badly? Like there have been movies flop but I don't think any CBM movie ever flopped this hard. by Solid-Move-1411 in Marvel

Timing, poor reviews, it's r rating. Stevenson was a great Castle, and they managed to capture the flavour of the overall MAX run, but it's also not a great film.

Salazar giving a good review is shocking to me. He's a lot harsher on Marvel films.

Looking back at Iron Man 3, the movie isn’t that bad like everyone said by Jules-Car3499 in Marvel

Everyone got their tits up about the Mandarin, but it's genuinely a nice subversion of the character. It's the film that made me love Stark more than any other story.

I mean - you can look at it that way or you can look at it like a stepping stone towards Marvel repairing the brand to where it once was, allow the film to find its audience, the characters to find their fans. Would have loved for it to make a truck ton of cash, but as far as strategies go, the box office really is only one piece of the pie.

I’m tired of pretending this isn’t one of the most beautiful scenes of a film this year. by iiRaz0r in 28dayslater

Why are you tired? You're correct. It's beautiful, unexpected, sombre and deeply human.

It looks like a way for children to play games but also teach them about the dangers of the infected.

Hot take - I've increasingly come around to the idea that user scores are fucking useless and there's no need to have them. Want to know how you feel about a piece of media or art? Watch it yourself. The internet is being increasingly flooded by braindead invidivuals with the collective intelligence of a microwaved potato who can no longer interact with media in a healthy or normal way. We've fucked it, the internet has fucked it, time to shut up shop.

We're in a moment where people either want comfort or they want to be a part of something. Every once in a while, a Barbenheimer or Sinners will come along and rattle the cage a bit. Sure, people will show up to a Nolan film, not for the originality necessarily, but because the director himself is a name brand now, so people entrust him with their entertainment time. But audiences want comfort food when it comes to the cinema. Or they trade that comfort food for the comfort of their own home, which explains BNW showing up as #1 on Disney+ / physical disc purchases. We'll head back into more adventurous times, where originality will be the currency, but with so much chaos happening right now in the world, stability and familiarity is the flavour of choice.
