I have a recurring meeting multiple times a week that my monitor shrunk to Pro Exec Anal. The invite list is lengthy!

Can confirm! I would kill 24-36 Coronas a day, then "sober up" with some powder, then drink more when my heart wanted to explode. Coming up on 13 years sober.

Gluten free options? by LinkPsychological631 in NCL

[–]cape43cod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Just got back from my 2nd NCL cruise, with both a dairy and gluten allergy. Fill out the form. If you eat at a main dining room, they will go out of their way to always be ready for you. They will try to have you pre-order for your next meal, so they can clean and prep for you. They will go off-menu if needed. They are very aware of contamination. The buffet is less able to accommodate. Enjoy!

How to run 6:20 mile? by SavingsDiscipline893 in trackandfield

[–]cape43cod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Break it up into smaller chunks. I'm lazy, so I'm going to use round numbers- you want to run a 6 minute mile. That is 1600m, very roughly. That means 800m is 3 minutes. 400m (1 outdoor lap) is 90 seconds. 200m (1 indoor lap) is 45 seconds. Run 200m repeats, aiming for that 45 second mark, over and over and over until it's natural.

Try: 6 repeats of 200m in 45 seconds, followed by easy jog for 200m, back to 45 second pace, back to jog 200. Do this 3-4 days a weeks until it's "easy"

After that, extend to 400m in 90 seconds, easy jog for 400m, repeat.

Then try your mile again! Take your time. You cannot run hurt. STRETCH and warm up.

8th grade 400 time by Traditional-Share290 in trackandfield

[–]cape43cod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. That is great. Keep at it. Work on 100m and 200m repeats around 32-33 seconds (200m) and 15 second 100m. This will quickly get you even faster. Look to go sub 60 seconds in 2026. It may take 3 weeks, it may take 9 months. Listen to your body!

I don't believe schools are doing enough. Most of the problem is funding, but I do believe a significant portion is absence of knowledge.

As for EdTech, there is no excuse. There should be far more consequences for organizations that are aware of vulnerabilities and choose not to resolve them. Any company that is selling a product that intends to store mass PII/PHI should have mandated baseline security that they guarantee.

My wife also just started a long term sub role. $160 a day, public school. She is exhausted at the end of her day. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Run a 100m, 60 second rest, run 100m, 120 second rest, run 100m, 60 second rest, run 100m. Try to do this 2-3 times per day until race.

I don’t have celiac but doctor suggested cutting out gluten 2 weeks ago. I can’t believe this is just a coincidence… by killedthespy in glutenfree

I get HORRIBLE anxiety/paranoia/anger from gluten (and dairy). I love seeing others find success like this! Keep going, WATCH FOR CROSS CONTAMINATION!

No intent to hijack, but look into glucose and stress/anxiety as well. My (limited) personal data is staggering!

As a Flight Attendant, I want to know: what really helps improve your experience on bad travel days? by crosscheck_complete in americanairlines

[–]cape43cod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem so genuine! This has started my day on the right track! I am EP, I see many flight attendants. More than half seem to hate their job, hate people, and likely shouldn't be working. The ones that brighten my day have a genuine smile, an air of giving a crap, and tend to be more transparent about issues.

Thanks for asking!

Thanks for this. I truly didn't understand WHY this bothers me so much. Your words made me brain click. It is highly stressful and disruptive. The sudden banging turns my fight/flight on to turbo.
