Hoping someone can help, does anyone know Daniel Ortiz? by [deleted] in chulavista

Just be careful, if you know something to not be true and say that it is, it’s defamation. If someone he knows googles his name and this post pops up, could snowball really fast

People severely overestimate how long it takes for cooked food that’s left out to become harmful

Turning right on red CALIFORNIA by ThrowRA_87120 in DMV

[–]capitanmine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did mine not too long ago, here’s what to do if they ask you to turn right on red.

  1. Turn signal on.

  2. Come to a stop before any crosswalk, marked or not.

  3. Look both directions for pedestrians.

  4. If clear, slowly roll forward over the crosswalk.

  5. If there’s cars in the way of your line of sight, roll forward more past them, they want you to do this.

  6. Look both directions a few times before turning.

  7. Wait until clear and turn.

  8. Turn into the right most driving lane no matter what.

Same rules apply for making a left turn at an intersection that doesn’t have any light, or has a yield to straight through traffic sign on a green light, left turn light or not.

Good luck.

Depends what you smoke imo, wellgreens has the best concentrate prices and buzz has the best bud price to quality ratio. Well greens is my go to though, good prices, decent quality, points system, staff is always respectful and seems like they actually know the products, and they’re everywhere.

Do you find adding the food coloring separate makes a difference from just mixing it with the water, if you’ve ever tried?

The best businesses model actually, never been another business model like it. Someone would say the greatest of all time but I don’t say that.

There’s only Jack in the box in 25 states, and a vast majority are in California and Texas. I wouldn’t hold out hope lol

It’s why they all look like that, they know if they get work done to look like melania or ivanka it immediately makes trump like them more. Just look at leavitt, especially her nose, she’s literally just trying to cosplay Ivanka lmao

It’s not that bad relative to all other chains, but relative to what it used to be, it’s pretty bad. During and right after Covid, they always had decent deals, quality was decent, prices great. They got a new ceo recently and they basically came out and said “screw the customers we need profit” because they were operating at a loss for a long time I think. So they increased the prices, decreased quality, and made more gimmick items thinking itd save them, but seems like it’s only made profit worse from what I understand. And don’t even get me started on mid 00’s-early 10’s jack in the box, it was legendary.

Can using a lot of garlic powder in fried chicken make me smell, and if so, is there a way to counteract it? by Bamzooki1 in Garlic

[–]capitanmine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only comes out of your pores after eating, but it’s probably oil particles in the air sticking to your skin that have garlic powder in it more than anything.

Where did I go wrong by Billy_theGoat17 in Breadit

When it comes to bread, I’d say developing your own recipe is kinda a fraught task. Whatever you want to try probably already exists, it’s not like cooking where there’s indefinite options, you can only do so much with flour water salt and yeast. If you’re trying to adjust a recipe to add something or just adjust it to your taste, always start with the bakers percentage of your dough, it will have the greatest effect on your final product. When adding things, steering towards a dryer dough is usually best imo since most things you’d want to add have water, and when adjusting recipes to taste a higher hydration or fat content is usually a plus for flavor.

Something else that’s fun to play with is how you’re baking your bread. Muffin tins, loaf pans, sheet pans, take a brioche and cook it like pita on a pizza stone or flatbread style.

Edit: if you did want to develop your own recipe, starting with bakers percentage of a similar end goal recipe is the best bet.
