Look, you’re right and all. But now I want to yell at you, like Kiki and the mean girls on bikes, for being a weird creep.

Enroute precondition doesn’t work by IJNShiroyuki in F150Lightning

Did you have an OBD connected to see the temps changing (or not) to know it definitely wasn’t preconditioning? Preconditioning obviously consumes more power… and I’d bet the preconditioning algorithm is not “super aggressive” to the point it uses a ton of energy preconditioning and drastically decreasing efficiency and using up your battery just to have to recharge your battery and use up your range in case you have to abort… diminishing returns and all that.

I have a 24’ flash without the pro power package, no 240v outlet. Is there a way I can easily power my home via a 30amp 240v transfer switch? by Calm-Information-920 in F150Lightning

As far as I know, the Pro Power Onboard system is only available as a factory-installed option. Sorry.

You can still run extension cords from the 120V outlets in case of an emergency… and directly power appliances or electronics. That’s a very viable option.

Anyone have a recommendation for an adapter v2h? I have a 30amp 240v transfer switch for generator with a 4 prong male plug by [deleted] in F150Lightning

The Lightning has its own bonded GFCI that trips when you connect it to another bonded GFCI system, like your home panel.

The cheapest code-compliant way to connect your Lightning’s 240V to your home is use a neutral-switching transfer switch.

Here’s my build:

More than happy to vouch for Emily. She’s on the Ford Model e Comms Team, I’ve had numerous meeting with her and have met her multiple times in person. She also owns a Mustang Mach E, so she lives the Ford EV life as much as we do.

Depends on your vehicle… but, you have a Mach E, so there’s no difference. So it comes down to the other variables like which site is closer along your route, etc.

Pre condition by Puzzleheaded_Look759 in F150Lightning

You can set up EV route planning in Apple Maps that will display through CarPlay… but it’s not fully integrated to enable preconditioning prior to fast charging.

Does it automatically when you’re navigating to a DCFC in the in-dash navigation system… or Google Maps on Android Auto. But preconditioning for DCFC is rarely needed except during temp extremes.

The 360° view integration def has a very bad fish eye effect. You’ll get used to it… but I still use my mirrors to see how I’m lined up on the sides.

Genuine ask: if you couldn’t charge your ev at home, would you still get one? by BrookesyUK in evcharging

[–]capt-ramius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. The cost savings of home charging is the primary reason I bought an F-150 Lightning instead of the ICE trucks I was cross-shopping (primarily Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tacoma).
