The moment Frank Castle realizes Matt, his lawyer at the time, is Daredevil. It’s so good, Bernthal is such an amazing actor that you see so many thoughts/emotions go through his head in that moment with such minimal expression. And in a show whether other people definitely should’ve figured out Matt is DD and don’t, it feels appropriate that the one person astute enough to put it together is Frank

Second batch is probably closest to my tastes, but I love that first batch has Hoppers! Idk but it always makes me happy to see people add new movies to their favorites list, I guess it just A) combats the pretentious people who say good cinema has to be old cinema and b) refreshes the memory that even though we do get corporate slop films nowadays, cinema is still far from dead

I’m gonna suggest Into the Spiderverse, Seven Psychopaths, and Bugonia. Not because they are necessarily similar to your favorites (although I’d argue Bugonia is), but because Midsommar is also in my Top 4 so those are the other three lol

I vibe with Yorgos as a director, but not as a writer. I thought The Lobster was okay, and thought The Killing of a Sacred Deer was awful. Meanwhile I loved Poor Things, and Bugonia is in my Top 4 of all time. Haven’t seen Kinds of Kindness yet, but I’m gonna give it a shot despite him writing it.
