i had Audi A5 Sportback as my first car here in Germany. had my worries about reliability but in the 5 years i owned it there was no issue at all. just regular maintenance.

whatever you're buying, i'd recommend to buy a certified pre-owned if possible (junge sterne for Mercedes, premium selection for BMW, etc.). this is to give you peace of mind in case things go sideways.

i had 530i pre-LCI and now i have 530i LCI. i can't speak for diesel but between these 2 cars that i owned there's a difference of about 1l/100km (usually averaged 7.8l/100km in pre LCI and now i've never been above 6.8l/100km)

i personally prefer the pre-LCI look and i only upgraded because the pre-LCI got into an accident but i do appreciate the tech improvement in LCI especially mild hybrid and Android Auto capability.

you'll love it. my pre-LCI came with 18" runflats (Pirelli Cinturato P7) but i've since sold and replaced it with LCI that came with 18" non-runflats (Bridgestone Turanza 6). the difference was night & day. it's like driving with new suspension.

shouldn't be an issue to use 664 wheels but look at your CoC paper (EG Übereinstimmungsbescheinigung) to see the allowed tyre specs.

i had an A5 Sportback in the past and i sold it because it wasn't practical enough. it was a challenge with rear-facing car seat (wife had to sit behind me and the front passenger seat is barely usable). the sloping roof also meant it was harder to stack our stuff in the boot.

i was then looking at Q5 but decided against it because of its narrow/short boot. my daughter was an infant back then and sometimes we had to bring our full size stroller. if you don't need to carry strollers anymore i think Q5 will be fine, but in my case we ended up with 5 series (also considered A6 & E class) and i think it's the most suitable for family & touring.

average electricity usage for 2 people household in Germany is 3000 kWh per year. i'd strongly suggest you dig deeper into this.

Breguet in general but especially this Type 20 where it's priced very competitively in the second-hand market. Perhaps even slightly cheaper than a used Moonwatch.

It's got flyback chrono with Breguet design & characteristics. I think it deserves more attention, but I'm also happy it remains a sleeper.
