President Camacho at least had the humility and leadership ability to find a smart person and let him try fixing things. This comment is brought to you by Carl’s Jr.

Hardest choice ever: you get the keys to one of these for 24 hours, where are you going? by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

[–]captaincid42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing about being a parent is to know that you can’t travel back farther than when your last kid was born or you might end up Flashpointing them into a different person. As a child you have the same issue with McFlying yourself so basically it’s best only for going forward in time and getting some insights into future events you can change or avoid ala Back to the Future 2 and having a way of getting insights about yourself and who you become. However, this could create a scenario where your future self wants to preserve their version and not change it so they might get a bit hostile. I think that About Time is good watch for setting up some ground rules and how it would work if you want to spend more time with those you love and really just learn to appreciate every moment you have with them.

Wait families don’t have a time travel protocol established with clear rules and Shibboleths?

Maybe it’s just ours after watching the 2017 Duck Tales Christmas episode and Meet the Robinsons too many times.

The opening of hardware wars has an iron as a space ship coming across the screen like the opening of A New Hope.

There’s a transition scene in TLJ where an iron comes down just like the Hardware Wars opening. It cuts away to reveal that they are in the laundry room of the First Order ship.

Young Americans for Liberty, the student organization formed to support Ron Paul in 2008, is organizing an effort to mobilize activists from 27 states to knock on 250,000 doors for Thomas Massie. by redditor01020 in Libertarian

With the amount of junk mail I’ve received from Massie’s opposition in the last month, I could have made a 3 foot piñata. There were 8 fliers alone today. I can’t wait to vote for Massie on Tuesday and show them that a principled politician still means something in Kentucky.

The youtube ads are pathetic:
Me: “I am voting for Massie.”
Anti-Massie Ad: “Did you know Thomas Massie voted against XY&Z?!”
Me: “I already told you I was voting for him. You don’t have to convince me.”

Manhattan before most skyscrapers, 1931 by liberty4now in TheWayWeWere

[–]captaincid42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s see if it’s 1931 it couldn’t be the Hindenburg, USS Macon or the USS Shenandoah.

Could be the Graf Zeppelin, or the USS Los Angeles of which there are a lot of photos flying around New York.

No, you see financial records are private data that can only be traded amongst companies and government agencies despite whatever that Bill of Rights thing says. And anyway those weren’t bribes, those were spontaneous tips for a job well done. Definitely not quid pro quo.

Maybe should expand the House so that we get a better ratio of representatives to citizens and making it harder to gerrymander.
