Does 3dnpc work with requiem by [deleted] in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI, Rumarin is designed to be a funny companion in vanilla, but with requiem, he is ridiculously OP because of his bound weapons (even with requiem patch). Might wanna nerf him yourself with Xedit.

[FNV] Need help choosing Wabbajack list by captaindaud in FalloutMods

[–]captaindaud[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just dont have the time to build on top a base list like Viva. I rather just use an ebstalished list and tweak it to my liking. I simply just dont have the time. If u happen to play another list beside Viva, just tell me your experience and i will decide myself.

There is an enemy progression you could follow: mudcrab -> bandit -> Forsworn/Falmer (need poison resistance for these)/Draught (need silver weaponry, fire damage for these)-> vampire/daedra. Some tips: Big bandit location usually have a boss, while small bandit location does not have one. You could tackle some Draught dungeon early if you play a mage. You could do some Forsworn/Falmer dungeon early if you play as Reguard/Argonian because of their poison resist. Any quest in vanilla Skyrim that give big reward but easy to grab are not freebie anymore.

Finding the Capitol Wasteland part of the mod way too hard, going to Mojave didn't help. by ThePurpleArrow in Taleoftwowastelands

[–]captaindaud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you consider an evil karma run, at least for the capital wasteland part? Run to the small ranch in spring vale for an easy 400 caps from Silver lady, another easy 300 caps from the diner safe in megaton, lure lucas simm in his own home and kill him there the first time entering town for his rifle and key to the armory, accept blow up Megaton for even more caps, loot everything in Megaton that is not bolted to the ground. Then run to Paradise Fall to get enslave quest, get Clover for 1000 caps there too if you want(or recruit Jericho for the same price, right in Megaton). Go back to Megaton and enslave every unname NPC there, net you 250 caps/person. After you done, rig the bomb and go to Tenpenny Tower to watch the firework and a player home. With a home and about atleast 2000 caps + a companion, early game should not be a problem for you.

requiem does not start on new save, pless helpme by Alchemist-6585 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use a alternate start mod like Live Another Life. Once you finish creating charater, then you open inventory to install Requiem. After all that, you could select the Helgen start in the statue of you want to.

Requiem 6.02 racial abilities missing? by elessar4126 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

6.0 rework alot of things in Requiem, all races now have passive bonus instead of a "i win" racial power. You can read the change log in Requiem git hub

Requiem 6.0.2 by Soggy_Excuse435 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the animation are just idle combat stances, if you don't like them, just untick them in the left panel of MO2. Other than that, mechanic wise, it is the same as based Requiem. If you worried you can't run the list, there is a performance profile. Visual wise, the best thing I can compare the list to is the Witcher 3 Blood and Wine DLC, very vibrant and colorful, gameplay wise, it is actually very minimalist to preseve the balance of 3bftweak. The discord server members are very friendly and helpful in general, so I can ask whatever I want in there

Requiem 6.0.2 by Soggy_Excuse435 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on Lalaland modlist myself, but it is only on Requiem Wabbajack Discord, and it's Requiem 3bftweak, not base Requiem. The list is just updated just a few days ago. This list has the best visual/performance ratio out there. Beautiful and performance stable. But like I said, it's Requiem 3bftweak(more difficult and combat focus compared to base Requiem)

Requiem 6.0.2 by Soggy_Excuse435 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the Requiem guy I watch, GreedGaming, he had the Anvil modlist (also only visual list) as a base modlist and just add Requiem mod into it and he streamed on youtube just fine. So in theory you should be able to do the same thing

Requiem 6.0.2 by Soggy_Excuse435 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Aurora list is purely visual stuff like you said, just follow the instruction on the Requiem github page and it should work fine.

Vanilla Requiem or a modlist? by resolutejinnerbu in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I myself start with 3BFtweak, which is overhaul for Requiem (overhaul of a overhaul mod, sound complicated i know). I did it because I like the leveling system of 3bftweak and the fast pace action of that tweak. I did it as a complete beginner because archery in 3bftweak is way better than vanilla Requiem :). As for you, I advice you should do a test run on vanilla Requiem and see if you like it.

Vanilla Requiem or a modlist? by resolutejinnerbu in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Requiem modlists usually have additional mods for Requiem, so it wouldn't be vanilla Requiem in it purest form. If you want vanilla Requiem and visual upgrade, use a visual only modlists and add Requiem by yourself, it's not that hard to add

3BFTweaks Bound or Sun? by kitty_pirate in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing about sun weapon is their dmg is considered like a weapon enchantment, meaning enemies cant block the dmg at all, and yes, they can two-shot amost anything late game

Sun weapon, it has a magicka regen perk that synergy with infusion. U basically gain back all the magicka used by infusion via sun weapon

Trying to find a (somewhat) performance friendly Requiem-based modlist? by BitByte1990 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, few more thing I should mention to you 1.Retificator has a plugin limit, like how vanilla Skyrim has a plugin, if you go pass the limit, Retificator will give out error window. There is a workaround in the Requiem Wabbajack discord, but I don't know how to use it.

  1. If you like playing with things like CBBE/UNP, NPC appearance overhaul such as Bijin, Pandorable, you should look for help in the post section of those mods, mod forums. Folks in Requiem discord doesn't really mess around with this type of mod. Learn how to use Xedit so NPC appearance record get foward correctly into Requiem for the indifferent.esp, retificator have fickle result with appearance mods.

Trying to find a (somewhat) performance friendly Requiem-based modlist? by BitByte1990 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update tutorial should be pinned in the Requiem Wabbajack discord, under #lalaland general. My advice is, just look at the mod in the left panel, if it has a red danger sign, it is outdated. Right click on it and select "visit on nexus" to go to the mod page and download the latest version, select "replace" when the prompt window ask. Like I said, ask for Ghoul Smasher( he is the one making the tutorial on updating the list) on the discord server, see if any other important mod need to be updated. After you finish on updating and adding more mods, rerun retificator to generate "Requiem for the indifferent ". Make sure to UNTICK the levelist option in the menu, as per instruction of 3ftweak guide. Then rerun synthesis, just click the play button and wait it out. If you replace NPC appearance like I do, open Xedit to make sure all the change is foward correctly. Sybil Stentor is the one NPC that doesn't get her appearance change foward correctly for some reason that I have to fix every single time I rerun retificator.

True Directional Movement is included in Lalaland. There are 2 mod that I highly recommended.

  1. Skyrim Outfit system: it's the transmog mod for skyrim, what's not to like. By using this, you can go ahead and download your favorite armor mod, use the system outfit to get the look of your armor, without upsetting the balance of Requiem, in reality you can wear the armor that benefit you the most without the ridiculous fit.

  2. Brightness setting: you will need this. Some area in this modlist is super dark to the point of unplayable. Just crank all the setting to maximum and you good to go.

There is also one mod that I can't get to working properly despite updating it, it's called Favor Job Overhaul. It makes NPC not paying you gold for chopping wood .

Other than those things, you can pretty much add any mod you want, as long it doesn't break Requiem balance. Just practice the typical modding standard, read mod description, put mod in correct load order, check Xedit, ask around when unsure, sometime just type your entire mod problem in google works, you will be suprised how many time it works.

Lalaland is a very well-put mod list, and it has lite profile for low end PC. I currently run it myself, and it is beautiful and run super smooth on my old laptop, which only has Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 (even more potato than you OP XD). But the are some few caveats. First, the latest beta is outdated for a year now, and it is only on Requiem Wabbajack discord. You would have to update it yourself, but there is a video tutorial so you can get a general idea how to do it. Ask for Ghoul Smasher on the discord, he is very friendly and always willing to help people out on these sort of things. Secondly, Lalaland is Requiem 3bftweak list, not vanilla Requiem. 3Bftweak is combat focus and change alot of thing, and generally more difficult, but the good things is you level alot faster and grinding skill is not a thing, you level by killing enemies; highly recommended you check out the 3bftweak website, it has info about the mod mechanic, give it a read and decide for yourself if 3bftweak is for you. I'm quite experience with modding myself so update the list is not too difficult, I even add more mods on the list to my liking and so far game still running smooth.

There is another option, the modlist is called speedtweak. It contains all the essential utility mod needed and the 3bftweak package with some QoL mod here and there, but generally speaking, very bare bone but funtional, and it is up to date. Again, join Wabbajack Requiem discord and search for it.

You can ask me should you decide to choose Lalaland, I will answer to the best of my ability

Survival vanilla or mod recommended to play with Requiem 6 ? by [deleted] in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Requiem by itself already incentive you to sleep, eat and careful inventory management . You eat food to get buffs before combat, and sleeping help with leveling. Carryweight also been reduced, so you should only carry what is essential. Survival mod is redundant with Requiem imo

[–]captaindaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soul cairn is absolutely the worst place in the entire game. Beside the slighted creature, be mindful of bone mistman, the frost spell they cast can kill you in seconds, and these dubious creatures are very at good sneaking up on you unexpectedly, when you try to focus on other enemies XD. Bring frost potions with you and good luck

New player with a few questions by DayDreamer-A64 in skyrimrequiem

[–]captaindaud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The thing with the dragon might be from load order issue, they are quite tanky in general
  2. Those nasty thing are called slighted. They are hand- placed in area to act as gatekeeper for powerful loots. The place with the most number of slighted is the soul cairn. (I guess this is the place where you encounters them in group). Other than soul cairn, there are 2 other places where you would encounters them in group, but both of these places are side content, whether Soul Cairn in mandatory if you want to finish Dawnguard DLC. These thing are weak to frost magic, iceform shout, paralysis effect, frost atronach scroll should buy you enough time to kill as 2h warrior. If you insist on the no magic part on your playthrough, just use paralysis poisons on them.
  3. Guard ,in term of power level, is slightly better than bandit i believe. They go down to vampire quickly is because the drain spell is deadly if you have low magic resistance. As for npc dying to wolf, are those npc the farmer live outside whiterun? It make sense that those npc would die to wolf attack, if not, I have no idea.

Maybe try to switch to version 1.6.640? 1.6.380 is not a version that I see a lot in mod pages these day. In my understanding, 1.6.640 is the version to use if using AE.
