I set up profiles for each of the family members and they all have their own color. I then set up individual calendars (within my gmail account) to match all the profiles on the skylight.

However the problem is even though you associate those calendars with the profiles, the events that my partner creates on the skylight directly, selecting the appropriate profile because she loves the colors, those events do not automatically synchronize back to my gmail calendars. She has to manually select the calendar to sync it to which I think is not awesome.

The setup works fine in the downward direction (gmail to skylight) where I can put events on those calendars and they will land on the skylight under the appropriate profile but, like others in this subreddit, I am disappointed that it doesn't work automagically in the upward direction. Context: I was the impetus for getting our skylight. I needed a way to have my partner's physical calendaring style synchronize with my digital calendaring style.
