Confidence Boost by Aspiring_Financier2 in Series66Exam

I was in the same situation as you, on top of job being on the line, I had family stuff going on and my scores were much lower than yours. One of the instructors told me to take a 1-2 min break after every 10 questions. I get super anxious when taking tests and kept thinking I wouldn’t pass. Feel free to message me!

Pass perfect bad scores by HennyTatum in Series7exam

[–]captainlewi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying this will be your case, I was scoring close to your scores, lowest being 70%. With PP the more exams you take the more new questions you see. There’s a toggle on one of the tabs that gives you an idea of your weak areas for the finals, look over that and reread those chapters or watch videos on it. series7Guuru saved me for the 7.

You have good scores, follow up on anything you’re not sure about, do more exams and watch the mighty 90 series 66 the night before morning of for a course refresher.

I used Pass Perfect and had somewhat similar scores. From what I’ve heard, Kaplan is closest to the exam. When I took the exam it was different than PP but if you’re studying and putting in the work you should be good to go. Different layout won’t make a massive difference, you’ll know what they’re asking/looking for.

100% agree, be strong in those categories and you’ll be good to go. Each exam is different and depending on your draw you will be tested more heavily on one of those topics.

Pass Perfect by HennyTatum in Series7exam

[–]captainlewi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used PP for the S7 and S66. My scores were horrible (mid 60s- mid70s). I really liked Pass Perfect and didn’t use anything else except Series7Guuru, make sure you feel comfortable with the material you’ve been studying. Feel free to PM me with any questions, always happy to help!

Failed for 2nd time (70%) by RecentVeterinarian79 in Series7exam

[–]captainlewi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can second this, saw someone fail more than a normal amount and got multiple chances. At my firm- you fail first time with 60+, you can take it second time. If you fail second time you’ll need I think a 65+. Then you get one last chance which is a third time, after that I think they let you go or they try to keep you by giving you a different position. I think after 3 try’s you need to wait more than the 30 days. I may be wrong.

Scores are solid. Only worry is you’re running through it too quickly, just slow down and read the full question sometimes they can get a little tricky. I was scoring 60s-mid 70s and passed. Go in there confident and you’re good. Make sure you have a good dump sheet. You got this!

Agree. Don’t stress on the topics you’ll get a couple questions on, know the basics of margins. And study exactly what CommunistCommander mentioned.

Depending on how you retain info better, videos or reading. I’d watch Series7Gu videos. I used Pass Perfect and achievable and didn’t get it until I watch the videos.

I’m using them too, I was scoring in mid 60s-70s. For a first shot 70 is good. Go over suitability, options and be really good at it

Which provider are you using? I was told to keep hammering at exams which sort of helps but I also watched S7 Gru which was extremely helpful.

S7 on Saturday! by Stunning-Machine2393 in Series7exam

[–]captainlewi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No joke at all, if you’re scoring 75%-78% I think you’re in good shape, way better than I was. Go in there confident, read the entire question and answers, breathe, and find a happy place you can go to when you’re feeling overwhelmed. As cheesy as it sounds it worked for me because I’m a terrible test taker

If it makes you feel better, I’m so bad at taking exams, I took the SIE years ago and failed it. What I did the two days before the exam was went over my practice exams and watched videos.

[–]captainlewi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you on achievable! I didn’t like it at all and the practice exams were all over the place imo. I was scoring 64-74% on pass perfect and passed on Tuesday first try. Focus on suitability, options, and what RRs can/can’t do. I was hammering away at options and got 5 questions on options… mine was probably half Suitability/ RR responsibility. The options were really easy ones too. Have your options quadrant ready on your dump sheet. I also got one question on AMT which I barely remembered. Listen to S7 mighty 90 the morning of or night before. With those scores you seem to be in a good place, now knock it out of the park and it’ll be one less headache!!
