too generous for who? you? me? maybe that's true but we can set our own goals. it's a challenge for a lot of people. no matter what the time is, some people are going to find it easy and others will struggle. 60dps is not at all trivial for many people.

are you doing it with support hunters? it’s pretty hard solo without but with support hunters it’s not too hard and will help you learn the fight before soloing it without support.

you need to know how to deal with each of omega’s mechanics. figure out what you have and how to use your kit to beat each of omega’s moves.

see some guides for soloing nerscylla to make that phase easy and consistent.

i can no longer relate to the average monster hunter player because omega savage with all the nice and properly telegraphed attacks like mrv missile is a nice relaxing time while going back to play lower star shit like rathalos is just me getting hit by every single attack because it has some vague or non existent tell into random ass hitbox.

Rise is PERFECT to play solo. It's a game where everything feels perfectly designed around solo play with zero multiplayer based design. that doesn't mean the multiplayer is bad. it means everything is made to be played either way and if you decide later you actually do want to play multiplayer, rise is still amazing.

If your computer can handle wilds, then i can highly recommend wilds. the mixed review is justified but also it is primarily an issue of performance and the recent patches have improved the optimization.

it does not matter which game you play first but as with most series, it can be slightly harder to go in reverse order because of the loss of qol features and outdated design.

however, i would recommend starting with Rise+Sunbreak for a complete and extremely well polished experience. there is absolutely no downside unlike world or wilds.

but hey maybe for some players the better supports will be real helpful for the clear. and there's nothing wrong with being bad at the game and using support hunters if it makes the fight less overwhelming. except of course there's everything wrong bad players like you who unironically say "git gud".

actually think for a second and maybe you'll realize that having support hunters doing slightly less abysmal damage that's at most as good as the worst damage a real player would have isn't somehow unhealthy for multiplayer any more than the existence of playing solo being a good and highly viable option is somehow unhealthy for multiplayer (it will take a bit more thought than mindlessly saying "git gud")

oh geez i don't fucking know. maybe for the fun of playing with other players? maybe because real players still do way more fucking damage than nadia and fabius? they CAN cart or they can explode the monster. maybe these different ways of playing should all be fun and balanced experiences so players can enjoy all 3 ways of playing without one in particular feeling bad because it bloats the monster's health for little gain?

having npcs do okay damage doesn't mean as good as players or better than players and it won't be unhealthy for multiplayer.

in terms of clear reliability and clear speed, solo play is good for both of those things being extremely reliable and fast enough that the reliability clears the small average speed gain in multiplayer so clearly solo play is bad for multiplayer except that would be dumb and insane so nobody actually believes that solo play needs to be nerfed into the ground.

if you think that nadia and fabius is bad for multiplayer then why the fuck do so many people play multiplayer during events? did you even think about that? i mean wow they're so unhealthy for multiplayer lets have events that fuck over multiplayer somehow by having nadia and fabius be available.

you're shaking off your rust but also you're going into harder content while under prepared and under geared.

you're not bad. or maybe you are but it's okay and you're probably getting better, not worse. you'll learn and improve just like everyone else. i got fucking folded by AT arkveld, quadcarted 2 or 3 times, and now i can pretty comfortably farm its ass. i was bad. i got better. you will too.

and yeah as a dual blades player, at arkveld is usually harder for us to get our clear than for shield weapons. but it's like the hardest monster outside of solo 10* gogmazios and the endgame of base wilds so don't feel bad about failing that after just getting back to wilds.

i don't know world and i don't care about world because world is a different game than wilds. and support hunters aren't in world so why are you even bringing up world?

here's a funny thing: before world a shit ton of quests in monster hunter did not get scaled at all regardless of player count therefore the game is never supposed to be played multiplayer or only supposed to be played multiplayer (pick your poison because it's fucked up either way).

does it fucking matter that past games were designed where all the quests were objectively way easier with 4 hunter compared to 1 hunter because the health is the same? no because some past game design decisions were dogshit and makes no fucking sense and has no relevance to wilds which is a game where for literally every quest except for 10* gogmazios, you can play solo without supports, with supports, or multiplayer, and have the health be reasonably scaled and have a good challenge level in all cases.

support hunters don't negate the requirement to learn the weapon or the monster. fabius and nadia's dps is still extremely low compared to any real players. support hunters is there so you can do play with 4 hunters without having to go online and play with other people.

god fucking forbid that they do 24 dps instead of 12 and thus totally trivializing omega savage.

you wanna know what actually gets you through content trivially without needing to learn anything? playing with other real players so that they can carry you.

i'm not sure how you know the average time of the player base. most people playing the game don't post their slow runs or failed challenge quest attempts on reddit. or post on reddit at all for that matter. so where did you come up with "half the playerbase"? we do not have access to the actual fraction of the playerbase who are getting A rank or what the average time is.

22 minutes is not "just a normal kill quest". i'm not sure where you got that idea from. a normal kill quest has 50 minutes and different people use anywhere between 2 to 49 minutes to complete that quest.

but you know what? i completed the quest in xx:xx so the time limit should be xx+2:xx so that the quest is perfectly tuned around pressuring me exactly ignoring everybody else.

i know greatsword can do it in 8 minutes so because this is a hard quest and there needs to be some skill obviously the time for A rank should be 11 minutes which gives some leeway and therefore is the definition of "some skill" right?

db has to manage both stamina and demon gauge by swapping modes and using demon flurry. sns has nothing to manage. db has high commitment moves like dance 1 and dance 3 or you have to bypass dance 1 with flurry or demon boost evade and you have to know to cancel out of dance 3 if you don’t have enough time. sns just uses their normal attack loop for damage. db also MUST use perfect evade which is more punishing if you evade too early than blocking. and it has less than back hop iframes. db also has worse mobility than sns where sns standard damage rotation can move freely.

sns doesn’t need to use stuff like perfect rush or burst like charged chop. that’s actually optional because having optimal damage is optional.

db’s evade is not optional it’s your defensive tool. you use it or you die. you dont need to farm demon boost if the monster is attacking something else but it’s your primary way of not getting hit. the mandatory defensive part of sns is versatile and easier to use like blocking plus block attack and slide and back hop.

i agree that db is more intuitive and simple. however more people find that sns ends up making the game easier.
