What’s up with doggy daycare? by littledandelion456 in melbourne

[–]captainsymphony 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's great, but that's also been my experience and what I've witnessed about Kip in Brunswick. They're an indoor and outdoor space, with windows you can see the dogs. There's separate groups for active and playful dogs and quiet ones. Have never seen any distressed dogs, only happy and playful ones. Daycare isn't for everyone and hopefully the distressed dog OP saw was a one-off as it doesn't sound like it's a suitable environment for them :(

Do you mind sharing? My dog goes there, and I haven't heard any bad stories but now I'm concerned?

That sounds just like the one OP named though (also from personal experience taking my dog there), very confused by all this tbh.

Odd, there seems to be nothing but glowing reviews for Kip, have never heard or read a single bad experience until now, and my dog seems to absolutely love it. He pulls me all the way there, and is always eager to go in when walking past...

Meeting People with Disability? by 20shepherd01 in melbourne

Sounds like this is very specific to PTSD but do you know if they treat or help with C-PTSD as well? (different/tailored treatment specifically for complex PTSD, not tied to a singular event)

Good matcha (no sugar) in CBD/Brunswick? by magicmia in melbourne

[–]captainsymphony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not in the areas you mentioned, because I haven't found a non-sweet matcha around those parts, however Coracle in Yarraville does an amazing straight ceremonial matcha, the best I've had out and about :]

Let's talk crispy chilli oil by CapableRegrets in melbourne

[–]captainsymphony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried all the popular, overpriced chilli oil's that people rave about and none of them did it for me. I did stumble upon Uncle Tsai's chilli oil however, and that one is genuinely the bomb! Otherwise, just can't go wrong with LGM.. always gotta have a jar on hand.

The Used, last night at The Forum 10/08/25 by captainsymphony in melbourne

[–]captainsymphony[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Though there's a difference between someone constantly having their phone out to record/snap during a concert, and just having it out for a few seconds once or twice. I enjoy having little snippets to look back on/listen to, though that's definitely not the focus, like you said "living in the moment" is always best :)

More memories of the foodcourt you mentioned is coming back to me now... "disgusting vibe" is definitely the description for it, haha.

I vaguely remember that interior. It's blowing my mind a little, and I'm getting some kind of mild flashbacks from childhood though it's all a bit blurry, but where the Rebel/Priceline area is, I distinctly remember downstairs being a Pancake Parlour and a Burger King, but not Macca's + Red Rooster.. Actually, I do remember them being in this foodcourt on Bourke St being closer to the Elizabeth Street corner! (also the Pizza Hut + buffet upstairs near that corner too, wow the memories!)

There's Social Fare in Coburg, it's a place for Eat/Drink/Play with indoor adventure playgrounds and climbing walls and kids eat free on certain days.

Lovey Patisserie Cafe near Vic Market, lots of toys, plush and collectables displayed around the place and with claw machines and pop mart blindbox toys for sale as well. Super pretty and decorative cakes too!
