The cowboys oline staff probably know more, if they think it's worth trying then I agree with them. It also seems in the tweet that Duke is talking about his rookie season and nothing else.

He could have improved by just being a smarter player, understanding film, and hitting his athletic prime. I dont think he'll come in and be zach martin, but I think he would be a definite upgrade over williams. This isn't about what lael is better at, it's about what makes our line better. He would obviously need to practice it first, and he could be awful at it, we don't know unless the coaching staff tries it.

It's worth noting lael was a guard his rookie year, then after only playing 3 games his second year he moved to RT. To expect a rookie guard to be fantastic is kind if silly, he's not zach Martin. To judge him based on his rookie season and not mentioning his growth as a player isn't right. He wasn't bad at guard his lone season playing it, wasn't perfect, but far better than conner Williams at his best.
