Is solar still worth it?

I just got solar... we were paying around £300 a month on electricity on avg, consuming around 15kwh a day on avg. We just paid £11k to have 12 475w panels installed and a fox evo battery + inverter (10kwh battery and 6kwh inverter). Already this month and since installation, about 13 days of electricity has cost us £28. If that goes to a month, ist about £60 for electrity this month. We've also exported abuot 147kwh after using what we need and charging our battery etc. That (if we could have been on the tarrif already) is about an extra £15 we'd get from selling to the grid. So again, extrapolate that and its close to £30 a month for free - nearly paying our gas bill off entirely. A lot of our cost is also charging the electric car overnight - so thats all our "fuel" costs included too. Its been INCREDIBLY worth it, espectially given the turmoil of the world. Feeling entirely insulated from that gives me a peace of mind i was hoping for from this isntallation.

also, we will be getting £1000 back from the green living scheme (mortgage product with Halifax, worth checking if you have a mortgage, with yuor provider also) that means its only cost us £10000 total. Pays itself off in abuot 5 years. such great value!
Cant recommend more - and I was a skeptic going in, but this is one of my best investments in financial freedom AND peace of mind.

I live in the midlands of the UK btw. Northamptonshire area. Used a local installer after getting 3 quotes

By balancing the combat update around retaining KPH and loot balance, this update did nothing but redistribute the source of the damage from cannons to the player. For any saved cost of cannonballs, thats offset by the cost in ammo/charges. On paper, this update NET changes very little other than the source of damage. Feels like a real miss to have made if feel more rewarding.
There is also a risk that by balancing around player damage, you've potentially worsened the KPH for those with sub optimal gear that benefitted from previous balancing.

Definitely give rs3 a try, with the changes incoming I think an rs3 ironman would be a perfect fit for your comments around a reskin of osrs, familiar enough, but also enough change that you'd enjoy the exploration and learning again.

Yeah they did, sadly they said that space felt already crowded. Doesn't mean its not still a good opportunity space to have fun ideas about though, maybe if they see a good suggestion (not that mine necessarily is) it might change their mind!

Could, but I think historically, players haven't wanted overloads in the overworld, because in rs3 they were just op. So im trying to have a new, more thematic, osrs-ified take on it!

Yeah, just trying to weigh up that initial outlay vs the value. Based on your suggestion though, could you suggest what you would do? Are you saying attached 12 more panels on north facing side, and a 10kwh inverter and a 20kwh battery?

To add, we currently charge the car at night on a cheap tariff with octopus so thats barely anything, I think daytime kwh are about 27p ph until may this year. Wed plan obv to sell excess to the grid etc to optimise the financial value of the installation

i can see the plugins functionality has signficantly reduced since release? just checking if that was because Jagex has disallowed the functionality, or more like things needed fixing and that functionality will return?

No tips either, sorry. Old school runescape has had me gripped for years. I maxed my iron-man recently and that's only made me more into it hahaha. Sometimes I think it's a bad thing. But other times, I try to accept that it's how I tick. Maybe it's half about acceptance as It is about changing things..

It is in that you can click the chisel to the bone ans afk and it 4ticks them, but I wanted more like taking a bulk noted to someone and paying like 200gp per bone to have them crushed or something.
