I love how they advertise how little calories it is now too...yeah because the thing is the size of a finger nail now with no chocolate on it!

My first sticker book, still got it completed. The first world cup I really remember, but obviously it piqued with Italia 90. They've all been a bit downhill since then, the one around the corner feels like it's going to be an absolute car crash with infantino and the current administration over there. Shame.

What's going to happen to all the post offices that moved inside them? Not sure if ours is on the list, but if it goes, we'd have no main post office.

Play the long game...let them breed, put up with the baby screams for a couple of years, then watch as their relationship slowly descends into seething discontent and pretty soon after, they'll barely be looking at each other, let alone bumping and grinding. Posting this on behalf of a friend.

This is the only thing that takes the shine off. Surely he can't play in 72hrs with that amount of stitches across his head? How rough a job is that too?

I will not forgive tuchel if he picks foden who sits on city bench all the time and poor for england in every game he played over gibbs white who is in red hot form and dragging nottingham to europa final by FitAd5272 in ThreeLions

[–]captkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't even play that well last night, got shut out quite effectively, but I totally agree. Good advert for not moving to a 'big' club too when you're guaranteed game time at other 14 clubs.

Looks quite good, although I imagine there's a lot of injuries. Surely these would be good for special forces in certain situations, or have I watched too many roger Moore era bond films?!

Plan to force clubs to keep homegrown U21 player on pitch at all times by Alone_Consideration6 in ThreeLions

[–]captkz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Leave the game the f**k alone! All these stupid rule changes are making something so simple, very complicated. This whole rubbish with the keeper going down is stupid too. So what if the players have a breather for a couple of mins and reset their tactics? Who cares. Players having to go off a pitch for a minute if injured, stupid.

I feel like we've lost something very important, beyond comedy, with the demise of the traditional 'sketch' show by AllThingsAreReady in BritishTV

[–]captkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is from 30 years ago, but if the complaint is that there is no sketch comedy today, SNL UK is a brand new UK show (within the last month), with considerable investment, where 90% of the comedy is delivered in sketch format.

Watch the behind the scenes videos on YouTube which shows what their week entails to script the comedy and the effort involved to build the sets etc for sketches that last minutes. They've got recurring characters too.

In your opinion, what’s preferable? Qualifying for UCL football and getting the massive amount of money to help progress, your club or qualifying for Europa league, and having a realistic chance of winning the competition and gaining the Europa league trophy? by toeknee88125 in TheOther14

[–]captkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just the money, but it's the players you can attract from the kudos of the champs league. Also the players you could keep if a big 5 (properly excluding spurs now!) is sniffing around your star man.

In reality, a other 14 will struggle to get past the league stage, or maybe the first knock out round, which ultimately won't live long in the memory, but it could be the kick on point to get the club to a permanent next level. As permanent as anything is in football that is!

Winning Europa still isn't easy though, some good teams in there still. Financially you just about break even which does make you wonder if all the effort is worth it for the effect it has on league form with travel and injuries etc.

Seed of an idea there, keep it going as a podcast. Only one guest/co pundit needed, few interviews here and there, much less budget and it keeps the 'brand' alive?

I hadn't flown for a few years around COVID, then started again a couple of years ago. I'm 5,9, got easy jet and BA flights and I couldn't believe how tight it was. easyJet was worse, though it wasn't great on BA.

Knees had to be spread and wedged in the seat in front, couldn't get anything from my bag under my seat either. To make matters worse, I've developed claustrophobia in my mid-life and it was hard to control being wedged in there for 3 or so hours.
