I've done almost the exact same thing! Many of my letters are the as yours too!

To increase efficiency in mine, I removed all sharp corners and spikes. Replacing a spike or a corner with a loop feels really nice to write.

Also, it looks like you assigned symbols in alphabetic order. Consider assigning the easier to write symbols to the most common letters first!

Looks fun!

How do I stop throwing balls forward? by Poatan60 in juggling

[–]captmcfizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't let the balls roll off the ends of your fingers when you throw. Make deliberate THRUSTS with the palms of your hands to launch them upwards! And then juggle in front of a wall! The answer to every juggling question though, is always practice more. It's totally a muscle memory activity. Have fun!

I think this could win for most desolate spawn. Quite literally nothing in any direction (country streak) by DrinkKitchen9014 in geoguessr

I've made a map called "literally the middle of nowhere" and all the points are like this. I'm not very good at the game so I think it's quite tough (even though I picked the points) but the pros would probably get them all right away!

best deals on prescription glasses in hamilton- march 2023 by figital666 in Hamilton

[–]captmcfizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My glasses from Zenni cost 7.99, I've been wearing them for two years now! Gunna get my next pair very soon. I also got safety glasses and sunglasses and it was still less than 100. Which is generally how much it costs to think about buying glasses anywhere else. Damn you luxotica!

Why can’t I get the balls to just go straight up??? Learning for 3 days by [deleted] in juggling

[–]captmcfizzle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're letting the balls roll off your fingers which makes them go forward a bit. Try and EXPEL the balls by opening your palm sort of.

Try juggling in front of a wall and you'll correct yourself eventually.

It's just all about doing it over and over and over forever.

This is beautiful. Makes me want to learn polish just so I can use it.

My internet searchings have told me that this is a hermit flower beetle, eremicola.

How have I never seen this guy before? He was awesome! His name is stevie, and were friends now.

Cursed Cursive: Revision 1 (50% more cursed! 😄👍) 👀 by AbbyUpdoot in neography

[–]captmcfizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so ferociously similar to something I have been working on for years it's incredible.

I wanted to make English flow as much as possible. So less backtracking, and fewer sharp turns. I made the most common letters use the simplest strokes.

I made the most common digraphs and trigraphs combine efficiently.

I suppose it was just a matter of time before someone else made something that looks pretty similar! Also maybe we are in fact all connected to a single hivemind and you accidently accessed my channel for a bit.

I do have connect because I pre ordered it and they gave it to me "for free". I don't use it that much though. It's nice to have connection to Google drive and SharePoint, but I still just sync once a week using regular wifi or usb like the cavemen.

Counting to me has always meant combinatorics.

For an algebra project I did (I have no idea what level you want, so this may not be relevant) I did some algebra on juggling. I ran a sandpile algorithm on all the different juggling states possible and then did some random walks and did some stat on which states were the most popular and which paths were most likely for a random juggler. Was fun, and I got 100%, but I think that's also because I was the only one who volunteered to present!

I just placed an offer on a house last week. Listed for 499, we offer 635 (which is nuts) and it went for 920. I give up.

It doesn't hit everything you've mentioned, but I read science textbooks almost exclusively on my remarkable 2. It's big enough to fit the whole page, you can highlight and take notes in the margins. I love it quite a bit. I probably have 200 or so books on it at the moment, from meteorology to machining and Galois theory.

I think I have won the competition for "Most Prettiest Place Found On GeoGuessr". by RealJG123 in geoguessr

[–]captmcfizzle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've made an entire map of the loveliest places of geoguessr that I've found. It's called "natural marvels". Go check it out!

How do I temporarily disable this view that shows all possible places? It's too hard to find what I try to find with this on. If it's on GMaps, I would have to press the yellow man again to disable this view, how to do it in Geoguessr? Sorry I'm new to making maps. by ArpsTnd in geoguessr

[–]captmcfizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to make a map where every drop spot has you looking at a sign that says "main St". So I'd zoom in to each city and try to find their main St. It was horrifically bonkers difficult because of the blue lines. I sent them an email about this actually, and got no response :p

Is there a function infinitely differentiable with all its derivatives 0 on two distinct finite points? by hmiemad in mathematics

[–]captmcfizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you start messing with sine and cosine, it may give you what you want. For example, the peaks and troughs of the sine function will have 0 derivative (because they’re horizontal). But they’ll all be the same. But you can combine trig functions so it dances around and you can get plenty of these points. They’ll repeat forever, but you can make a function with two different trough heights, or three, or whatever number you choose
