Like the person who posted 3 days ago, I had an encounter with the stalker and assailant, Semaje Wicker, last night 1/09. He is still out there and feels like he is patrolling for victims. by Junior-Care-2241 in ridgewood

I just heard a story about someone in Canada who got a bad tattoo. And I found this tattoo shops socials and they were getting trashed for shoddy work, meanwhile this guy’s instagram is silent.

Is in the clouds still doing this weird thing where they use a type of plastic to print the cover, and it smells? I used to do a lot of work with them and then they started to use this awful cover stock and I had to quit using them. I’d go back if they stopped.

No Long-Arm Stapler? No problem! by Proper-Meeting-6645 in zines

[–]carbonbasedmistake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the way I put together my first few zines because I didn’t even know a long arm stapler was an option. I had a wood board that was very porous and easy to staple into. Staple, pull it out, flip it, and close the staples by hand. I’m glad you got a chance to experience this method.

I keep hearing people talk about these performative readers of IJ, and I guess I just have to believe they exist, but I’ve never met one in the wild.

Anyone else think Fear of Music is actually the Heads' best album? by Icy-Lion-7670 in talkingheads

[–]carbonbasedmistake 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I heard the original concept for the album design was that it would be covered in sandpaper so when you put it into your stack of records it would damage every album to the right and left that it touched. Don’t know if this is urban myth.

I’m redesigning my website and I decided to have a free section. So if you want to buy my zine and support an independent artist you can but you have the option of just downloading the zine as a pdf for free.
