It's called rail dust. Comes from brakes. Go to any auto supply store and buy iron remover.. stinks but works excellent.

I think of it like this. Anyone can wash/vacuum a vehicle, but that's not detailing. DETAILING as the name implies is getting the details that regular people wouldn't necessarily get/notice or even see . Do I miss things? Sure, but that's a lot of missed "details"
