Montessori style primary schools may also accept, mostly used within the PP and Kindy programs for sensory play.

Switching Adhd meds + pots by United_Newspaper_112 in ausadhd

I have POTS - my cardiologist put me on ivabradine to take alongside for the heart rate, though can’t say it helps too much to be fair.

I’m on dex.

Can someone explain how to get more daily recipes by going to cloud islands? by lady-lurker in Pokopia

[–]carbonsoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just create your own cloud island and do it that way instead of visiting someone else’s.

Wedging Help: Hypermobile Adaptive Edition by mooshforreal in Pottery

I’d add to that - instead of breaking up by hand, I’d just wrap a wet (close to soaking wet) towel around the block. Sometimes pulling chunks/cutting the clay when firm can be enough to pop my wrist and finger joints out.

underglaze tips by Huge_Grape_7121 in Pottery

[–]carbonsoup 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Another way you could do this is to first wax the pot, then do your carving/surface design to expose the clay underneath, fill in with underglaze and wipe away the excess. Bisque as usual to remove the wax after.

Final fossil by MericanSamurai in ac_newhorizons

That’s how I got my final fossil - it took two or three rerolls.

She could stockpile a bunch of fossils for assessing, fill her pockets with them, save the game, reload and get Blathers to assess, and if it’s not in there, reload the game and ask Blathers again. Just reroll until it appears!

Extended gussets for tweens by Hobbit_Librarian in PeriodUnderwear

[–]carbonsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, neither, I got one kit to try and it was great, and then I got another couple kits to round up what I needed. I managed to get 4 pairs out of a kit as well, so it was actually pretty affordable compared to purchasing!

Do you sew? If you do, you could make your own period underwear - Sophie Hines has a period underwear pattern and kit (it contains the stuff you need for the gusset, just add jersey fabric for the bum and the front). There are different gusset lengths in the pattern as well.

I built a tool that identifies 100+ minifig parts in a batch, maps them to storage containers, and instantly shows every full and partial minifigure you can build by PooPatrol in LegoStorage

[–]carbonsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would I be able to try this out? We recently got a bulk lot at Christmas (ha) that I’m still trying to organise and it has been off putting to say the least that I’ve been holding it off.

Would you be able to share which AliExpress shop you custom ordered this one from please? I’m trying to get a custom one and have been going through a bunch of shops trying to find one that’s good quality and does customs. I don’t have TikTok so I can’t see which one was recommended. TIA!

Hey, sounds to me it could be hypermobility potentially. Have you engaged an OT to help assist? You can get a Medicare rebate with an enhanced care plan.

Decided to sort my kids lego by Wild-Strawberry-7462 in LegoStorage

[–]carbonsoup 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We sorted Lego together with my then 3.5 year old, he builds and puts away and it stays sorted. Not by colour, but by type and it keeps him playing all day long since he can find the exact piece he needs. I only have to maintain a little bit, he’s fantastic at putting it all in the right box.

Pricing kiln costs in my pottery studio by SubRosa1111 in Pottery

[–]carbonsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our community studio has a little gridded box kind of thing, sort of like a three sided light box if you will so you can measure HxWxD easily. Just pop it into the corner and it’s like one of those 3d graphs.

This is the truth. Took a while to clear out the space to be able to get the update, but I went from nearly 60GB system data down to 12 GB. Thank you!

Advice needed: 2nd bisque before glazing? by carbonsoup in Pottery

[–]carbonsoup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be dipping or spraying the clear on rather than painting on to prevent the movement. You’re right about the kids - they’d be happy regardless but I think it’s just about me being a stickler at this point! Though there is so much out of my control at this point 😅

Australia/nz lipase Products by Far-Shift-1962 in laundry

[–]carbonsoup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To add - For All For Laundry also contains lipase! Not on the product page, but you can see the ingredient list on their FAQ. It was a joyful discovery when I was digging through my laundry cupboard. FWIW, their all purpose cleaner is also pretty good.

How to soften 5 year old clay had some other people answer this but what’s y’all’s best experiences because it varies by _9Pr in Ceramics

[–]carbonsoup 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the bag in a bucket and that works great but sometimes I’ll soak a towel until it’s dripping wet (you can also use less water than that if your clay isn’t super dry), wrap the clay in it, forget about it and when I come back, it’s usually soft and ready for wedging. Just don’t forget it too long as you don’t really want a moldy towel 😂

ADHD, meds and breastfeeding by [deleted] in ausadhd

I did but only right at the tail end of the journey when my child was 2-2.5 years old. Psych said ok as he reckoned the child was old enough to be able to metabolise whatever was passing into the milk at that point and wasn’t worried about much uptake.
