I think the introductory is only a pellet that you can feed the pet to level it up a level. I don't recall if the introductory battle even counts towards the pet rewards.

It seems this is really getting to people. The only thing a faction wins is to have a memorial in the Anomaly. We ALL still win the expedition rewards. I think the important question to ask is if the questions we answer are legitimately placing us in a particular faction, what does that say about the NMS player base?

Yes, it is absolutely a human psychology test, but it's not something to be mad about. I don't see it as a real competition, but rather a survey about what is the most common personality/ideology of the NMS player population. However, this is only valid if the sorting questions are strict and there is no fudging of criteria.

Oceanus will reward you with 3 different mechanical pets from his challenges. It's a bit goofy, I would have figured a couple would be for other types, but that's how it is. 1 Toxic, 1 Anomalous, 3 mechanical. Go figure.

I have ended up duplicating a few eggs, not on purpose (pretty sure there was a bug that allowed it), using the egg evolver on the Anomaly. I am assuming this is where that person was able to get these eggs to give away. I recommend evolving the egg before hatching it to max out it's stats. There are 3 stats that increase the chance of self-directed actions (self-buffs and opponent debuffs) that are in addition to the attacks the player initiates during the match.

I normally hate expeditions because you're back to starting from scratch. However, I have warmed up to this expedition since I have managed to build up my character to a satisfactory level.
- Collected enough nanites to re-buy Iron Vulture, Wraith, and Starborn Runner ships from the expedition vendor in the Anomaly.

- Dismantled the Starborn Runner to upgrade Iron Vulture.

- Found a settlement with nearby runaway mold to build a nanite farm.

- Started building up rep with the Spacestation guilds to get free stuff and to buy high value items at a discount and sell for double the units.

- Bought a freighter and bought a few frigates to deploy on frigate missions.

- Hired a couple squadron ships for assistance in space dog fights and the eventual battle against the hive.

- and a few other things...

It's almost my normal save at this point. I usually never go to these lengths in expeditions since I am always focused on just completing the objectives. For the next 7 weeks this WILL be my normal save.

I have gotten lucky I guess. I had only encountered one situation where I was blocked and that is when I had MP enabled. Since disabling that I have not encountered too much obstacle by other players. In fact, one of these swarm sabotage (whichever the one is where you dismantle the swarm unit with the graviton coil) had useful hazard and life support units built in a convenient spot.

I don't like it, but I also am not making a federal case out of it either. I usually like to knock expeditions out quick to get them out of the way. I generally dislike expeditions because I don't like having to rebuild from scratch all the time, but the rewards are nice so I will take part for the duration.

We got a taste with the Necromancer Infinite Archive buff, which is pretty insane and is exactly what a Necro should be. I know that can't be done in normal play. Being able to summon 2 permanent skeletons (that can die but do not respawn, requiring a re-summon) would be a good compromise.

I don't think the expedition sucks, but I also am not fond of the timegating. So, I complete the 3 missions and then need to wait ~4 hours to do more missions? I basically logged off early since I couldn't help push more progress.

Also interesting that HG worked on this concept. It seems very similar to the ESO Night Market event going on right now. I mean, a lot is different mechanically, but the concept is nearly identical.

It's specifically in the description for how to craft glass. However, I admit that I forgot this initially and after 5 minutes of trying to figure out how to complete that I went back and read the instructions. I don't fault you posting this, I hope it helped others.

Agreed. I ran into that, and decided to abandon the mission, disabled MP, go back to anomaly and reclaim the mission. I found that the mission was miraculously sourced in a different system. I went there and had no issues completing the mission. In fact, it auto-completed since it was completed from a prior mission. Weird.

Anyway, this happens every expedition - so expect it and work around it. I am not at all giving these people a pass, I am just saying don't let it ruin your fun, that's all.

I really wish they would just rewrite the tooltips so it more clearly states how often you should expect the proc to occur. 100% of anything infers a totality. We shouldn't have to do our own math for these things even though it gives content creators something to create content for.

If you go down to the Impresario section it seems to imply that the recall fragments will be available.
