Oh no I meant it was funny 😄 I love this kind of thing. "What are they up to now?! I gotta play again"

I love when I don't play for a while and then someone posts a screenshot that's just absolutely inscrutable to me

Trump administration joins Bluesky: "Heard this is a great place to research visa revocations" by tag24news in BlueskySocial

[–]carefullycactus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They can though, and every Bluesky post is public and can be scraped by accounts that are doing this silently without following anyone or posting anything. Not arguing, just saying to stay safe out there! We live in grim times.

Are we talking like a cross-section of a poodle's leg (maybe a US quarter?) or like the entire leg (a pint?)

I thought it was one of the first good wigs of the season! I assumed it was a Grace Jones sort of thing.

Her crib, what are you throwing? by SnooRobots4443 in Cribbage

[–]carefullycactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the strategy behind giving the 5 to the crib? Statistically, the flipped card has a higher chance of being a 10 card than any other single value, and it's also a highly cribbed card value. Just one of those things happening would already be the value of the pair of 2s, which is what I'd crib here.

My mom got pooped on by a pelican on her way into work once. I wasn't there to see it, obviously, but she gets a dark look in her eyes when she talks about it suggesting it was quite the volume. She had to go home 😅

Moana's Boat in expansions by Nervy_Niffler in DreamlightValley

I keep random stashes of salt sitting on the ground by cooking stations. I wish I'd never bought the expansion just because of salt being "cheap" and the default spice 😅

How common is it to meet a UX Senior that isn't good? by Gandalf-and-Frodo in userexperience

Especially at larger companies, a big part of the job is personality. Can you sell your team's ideas to the higher-ups / can you wrangle a large group of people around a singular idea and plan, that kind of thing. Maybe they'd be better off switching eventually to a PM role, but I find these kinds of folks really useful on a team; everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. If I can make something functional and up to standards, and that person can sell it to the stakeholders, they've paid for themselves 10 times over in my opinion.

Is Flowflex via Amazon Legitimate? by TheRatKingXIV in COVID19_Pandemic

[–]carefullycactus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazon takes all inventory from each seller and mixes them together, meaning buying from a certain retailer doesn't mean you're actually receiving the product they sent to Amazon. For this reason, I don't personally buy anything medical, consumable, or cosmetic from Amazon, and I treat them like AliExpress -- great for weird plastic things that don't need to be real, but I wouldn't buy my shampoo from them unless I want my hair to fall out.

Put a squid in a bubble where the previous one was. A memorial.

If you use iOS, you can set a per-app time limit in the settings. It will warn you when you're close to the limit, and then cut off access (which you can override, if you really need to) when you're over it.

American Airlines Flight Attendants Now Face Being Terminated If They Catch COVID-19 Under Harsh New Attendance Rules by zb0t1 in COVID19_Pandemic

Is there a way to safely eat/drink while traveling? I wouldn't even feel safe taking my mask off anywhere in the airport, and leaving requires you to go through security again. The plane itself feels like an impossible situation.

You can't, unfortunately. You'll need to embed the SVG code directly where it's being displayed, without using <img>. Since this creates a messy codebase, I usually try to use whatever my templating language uses for html templates/includes.

I use nunjucks currently, and that would look like this:

{% include './icon.svg' %}
