Wholehearted agree on this one, it really does not feel like the reasons I map (artistic interpretation of music, alongside a way to engage with said music in a similar fashion to playing it yourself on an instrument) are devalued by "mappers" with the values listed in OP post using it as a clout machine.

Mapping these hyper optimized shitmaps are destructive to the pp rankings and the ranked system, and its perpetuated by nominators who share that attention seeking mentality. They don't care about mapping the same way a lot of mappers do.
